The Fortifier series and Defiance of the Fall series are extremally well written and great examples of the best the genre has to offer (both have been best sellers). 💯💯💯
DotF was pretty shit, idk the writing is on the level of good fanfiction... the guy is half decent at sentence structure and technical stuff, but the plot is garbage which is pretty ok for a litrpg I guess
The Magisterium series by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black is kind of similar to that. This big evil guy (not quite the antagonist though) puts his soul inside the protagonist when he was a child. Fantasy novel, kinda like Harry Potter in a way
Hey I'm a huge fan of all of your work. Soul fraud was amazing and I even convinced others to read it and they loved it. I read a lot and soem of my favorite fantasy authors are Brandon Mull, Rick Riordan, and Tyler Whitesides does some good stuff along with James Riley. They have all made amazing books to read and definitely recommend
Appreciate the tier list. Have you read Ascend Online? I've been seeing it on a lot of lists for top 10 litrpg/gamelit. I read the free sample on Kindle but it is riddled with spelling errors/grammatical errors so before I buy it, I want to know if the story is worth suffering through the poor editing. Also are there any other genres you could recommend similar to litrpg/gamelit? I don't know if there is a separate genre but I've been reading some books I would describe as tcg(trading card game)lit where they collect cards or build decks that give them spells or enhancements.
Was totally going to recommend the dresden files before I knew you already loved them. 😊 However I didn't know about his son's books, definitely gonna check that out.
Sigils, let me recommend something you will like: the 13th reality series. It’s a sci-fi book series with crazy riddles and adventures all throughout different realities, each based on a major decision humanity made.
Totally agree with your short review/ranking of In the Shadow of Lightning. I also read the Promise of Blood recently and definitely see that he's improved a lot as a writer. A lot of books here that are in my TBR and I'm excited to get to in the next year or two. Including Soul Fraud, I'll get to it this year I promise!
Really need to finish Cold as Hell It’s been months Unfortunately I’ve been super busy lately and can only get around to reading light novels like Wuxia, litrpg or gamelit. Things that don’t require more than 1 brain lobe to get through
Yesss Dead Man’s Hand was such a breath of fresh air indeed!!! Ashes of Man was also an awesome read for me, and it looks like I really need to try some Peter McLean soon!
I know you might not read these types of books but I want some fantasy books that are about the main character being in love with their best friend that is my favorite rope and I really want some good recommendations
Sigils. You should make a review on Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, it is a movie, but its plot and characters (and animation) is so good, you should review it on your channel.
I think your selling your book short, I'd say it's a C at worst, at times the book is definitely higher but I appreciate you may need that motivation to improve etc but I will buy all the books you make

Story idea: The main protagonist is the main antagonists younger self

CW’s The Flash: Season 3
Actually an epic idea but it's probably been done before
@@rosieduck248 so, spill the beans.
First time I've ever actually use that phrase
Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works. That is all.
I loved your book Andrew, keep up your good work! I think soul fraud is very creative, and I liked Matt’s backstory!
I love Andrews editor
This list looks great Andrew, I can't wait to try out some of these new books this year, also, in my opinion, soul fraud deserves s tier!
