When we talk about watches we always talk about budgets.
It's safe to say this watch is the best at this price range.
What blows my mind is they went through the trouble of printing sub dials and adding hands for a chronograph function that doesn't exist. One wonders how much cheaper it would be if it was just a three hander with a date...

It's a $2 Masterpiece. And holds a noteworthy title amongst watches for being the cheapest, which is on the cutting edge of a category. I want one.

Oh God yes. Something along those lines would be absolutely hilarious, it's a great video idea, especially if you can get reactions from whatch snobs in those first seconds they haven't taken a good enough look at it while you've told them it's high horology lmao

I just got an AliExpress watch that's an homage to the Rolex Hulk, $1.99 shipped to me in the US. I think it has the same bracelet as this watch, just full of sharp edges. And the bezel is literally a part of the case, just a raised piece with notches in it. And the minute hand sometimes jumps a little every time the seconds hand ticks. What a stunning piece of junk it is!

I've seen enough people say on forums that they never use the chronograph function on their chronograph that a fake decorative chronograph doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Rolex again en again what more you mean more accurate than all mechanical watches.
You mean quality quartz movements. Chinese shenzhen pingpong backyard quartz movements are even less accurate than any mechanical movement.
And will last a month if you are lucky.

I bought a couple of hand winding hmt pilot Indian watches. I don’t know how long they last, but, they are cheap, mechanical and have and endless array of very playful dials. I love the two I have and enjoy them in my rotation. Not seen then reviewed. Have you any comment on this affordable and fun watch?

It reminds me of the free watch I got with a Gallon of Duckhams engine oil back in the 80s. It fell off my wrist after about a week.

I've bought many cheap watches less than $10 they look good and they actually work well and they last me years I always take good care of all them.

I probably would buy it for a relative that has been stingy, that has given out used stuff for present, and that will much appreciate the money spent on him. My father in law is a good candidate for this purpose.

I bought one of these, but without the decorative chronograph function. It did say Geneva on the dial though, and I paid 99p. It came with a cheap NATO that was otherwise retailing at 3.99, so still a bargain!

Oh yes, it is the *absolutely* perfect gift to give to both, your (ex)lover who just just ran off with your (ex)friend as parting gifts wishing them both the best and...hoping whatever is contaminating the bracelets gives them both herpes. 😂🤣😂. I can top you. I have a BoBo Bird Chronograph made with wooden components. I think you should get one of those. Although they are almost infinitely more expensive.
The "Fake" is the only part of name they trademarked.

The packaging was terrible. How did it arrive working and plastic window not cracked from shipping damage? Is like packaging from Gearbest.
This is a true beater....best value proposition ever.....0.01!!! Three weeks air freight without a box and runs...follow up with drops from height, shower action and crystal scratchings required...

In last Longines VHP models (which are very good watches indeed) you also will not find any jewel in the caliber. Maybe some stuck to the dial if any special execution ... . 😊

You should try and get a sveston watch. Theyre crappy fashion watches advertised as affordable luxury with all the mumbo jumbo like we cut out the middleman to cut costs. But theyre extremmely cheap and made in Pakistan, which is pretty rare.
I bought one automatic movement watch for $20 as white elephant gift but was very surprised by how good it was

But there is a mistake in logic here, because cheap is not the same as free. Frame this as paying for a date and it may become clear.

Next the cheapes machanical watch. I actually did it couple of years ago. Winner was it's name, but it was no winner.
It arrived, it works, it doesn't look terrible - I would have one just as an example as it displays all the things you need to look out for in a bad watch and how good my Casio Edifice is
If you're out in a high-crime area (like LA or SF), this is the perfect watch to wear.

I just bought a 99 cent dive watch from AliExpress and it's honestly not that bad😅
Funny thing. My father was giften one of these. It had a different brand and it came in an actual box but it was the same watch with the same movement. I gave it to a watchmaker that serviced some watches for me to repourpose the movement. It's such a bad watch words can't really describe it.
Once I learned that Temu was legit about a month ago, I ended up buying 5 watches that were only a couple (US) dollars each, literally just to see if they were real, and made of plastic. They're real! And made of metal! I have a couple with a leather band and a couple with a metal band. Andrew is right about the metal band, there's no way I can see to adjust the size. But I don't care, it was a fun experiment and I'm wearing one of the watches right now (I gave one to my coworker, literally told him "Keep it" when he mentioned that he liked one of them. I recommend buying one for fun but don't get one with a metal band, go leather.

I'm even surprised his mechanical watch. At that price I thought it would be a quartz . A quartz watch at that price would probably keep good time at least for a while.
The thing is you could actually get a chronograph with a seiko movement in it for £30 if you can get a Lorus. Which makes me wonder why anyone wants one of these...
