holy freaking hell. man, you can't imagine my shock when i saw this. i have been your subscriber for ages (on my "real life" account). you taught me how to play the Bourrasque, Progetto 65, Obj. 430, STB-1, Leopard. you were the reason i improved in WoT. to see you playing ESO is insane. haven't seen you in ages and all of a sudden you drop an ESO build video? i am freaking over the moon. you have made my day, man. this is awesome..
I really appreciate the kind words! 🙏 Been busy with a new job over past year, and I only want to post content when I have something meaningful to share. It takes a lot of experimentation to find a build that's mechanically sound, so I'm super excited to share this "Dunedain" build. Do you play ESO?
@@taugrim i sure do. been playing since the Beta. it's my "main game", so to speak. WoT is a game that i enjoy as well, but it's a "side project" compared to ESO. i kind of make my own ESO videos as well. just for fun. i'm glad to see you playing my two favourite online games 👍
I'm really glad I gave ESO another chance. I played it back in Open Beta and hated the minimalist UI, 1st person view, and clunky combat. I happened to watch a PVP streamer (OdinPK) playing ESO and based on what he and his viewers said (primarily, that PVP was very skill based), I was glad to give it a shot. ESO has not only fun PVP but the solo PVE content - especially the solo veteran arenas - are the most challenging & rewards I've played in any MMORPG. I just wish Zenimax was better at balancing gear sets (e.g. Dark Convergence, Hrothgar's Chill, etc), but that's another story.
haha I've been here since the SW:TOR days. Always appreciated the way Taugrim presented stuff even though I didn't play some of the games he does. For instance I have no interest at all in ESO, but I skipped through the video a bit :)
Man I've been around since you were making the best Warhammer Online videos available, I still watch yours and Oozos Warhammer Videos every so often. Im glad to see you back on the MMORPG grind, happy I didn't unsubscribe during the tank days
I've really been missing great MMORPG PVP combat since WildStar faceplanted and was shutdown by Carbine. So I'm glad to have a game and PVP worth posting about. I was going to start making videos of ESO PVP in early 2021, after I'd been playing the game about 6 months, but I wanted to find a new employer and embarked on an intense job search for 3 months. Late last year I briefly switching to New World but came back to ESO when the Umbrals system launched (layer upon layer of grindy gear progression). Amazon Game Studios made so many poor design decisions, beyond the many well-documented exploit vulnerabilities.
Hey! Can you enable comments on your videos? I was watching some of your Minecraft PVP videos last week and the 1v1s and 1v2s were fun to watch. You're quite good! Wanted to comment but they were turned off.
I'm glad to see you back. I still use a variation of your keybinds in every mmorpg I play. They really made a huge difference. I'm not currently playing ESO, but if I was I would definitely try this build out.
Should definitely check ESO out! Found Taugrim lurking in ESO reddit and couldn't believe my eyes. I'm so pumped to see this guide and hope he makes more!
Judging by all the comments that your long time subscribers are saying, you made a proper impact in many lives, including mine. Glad to see you're alive and well.
Gee whiz, man! Where you been? I miss your WoT content and still go back and watch the old stuff. I don't really play any other types of games, but still good to see you're still alive.
welcome back.. you are still my favorite all time WoT content guy.. I've also moved on from WoT.. after thousands of hours, and probably thousands of dollars.. lol.. Did you get in to New World at all? NW is a fantastic system in many ways, but Amazon is kinda blowing it big time with it. ESO always seemed kinda like stuck in the late 90's as far as style, UI etc.. maybe time to try it again... cheers
Appreciate the compliment. I did play NW from mid-October to January. I posted an OPR video for WH/GA (not using the stupid GA light attack spam) back in December. I absolutely loved the combat. However, AGS has made so many poor design decisions with NW. The Umbrals system going live was the straw that broke the camel's back; it was just more tedious gear progression. And I wasn't the only one to quit NW when Umbrals went live; the logged-in population dropped from ~90k pre-Umbrals down to ~15k now. ESO actually feels pretty modern. High build flexibility, huge addon community, and loads of quality content (PVE and PVP).
@@taugrim yeah, totally agree about the umbral system.. and the worst part of it is, you are stuck running the same content, over and over, repeat ad nauseam.. I think their devs were held back.. most likely by some idiots in marketing or in executive management who felt it was better to at least drop something, and an arbitrary leveling system is much easier no doubt than lots of new content. If you look at their road map for the rest of this year, I don't see a lot of new content.. a new expedition, and a new weapon.. seems they are just not getting it. What happened with the talk of the new end game zones? I recall at least two that were being talked about like as recent as a few months back.. but silence on that lately.. ah well.. its only gaming.. heh. peace
and if you dont mind me asking a question after that long ass post I did.. heh. But the thing I like most about NW, and is what keeps me from quitting altogether, is the classless character model. I've never played an MMORPG that with such little cost to the player, can respec from dedicated healer, to bad ass brawler, to tank, and even ranged DPS, with just some gear swap and a small coin and azoth cost to totally change player and weapon stats.. I often bounce between builds depending what I am doing, and who I am doing it with.. does ESO have anything that even come close to that at all? to me, that is a mechanic that I feel the entire genre should adopt.. or something similar.. I don't have time nor desire to grind four separate, class based characters to max level to get the same experience
I think the fault for these issues lies in AGS leadership: 1. the studio head is the same guy who stubbornly and arrogantly changed Star Wars Galaxies, even though the community beseeched him not to go through with the changes 2. they conflate boring gear treadmill with meaningful progression. People don't want to run the same boring PVE content over and over to gear up. They want interesting, varied content, at least in PVE. Eventually AGS eventually added Umbrals to OPR, but by then it was too late
So ESO is class-based. So it's not classless like NW. Like you, I enjoy the classless nature of NW. It allows a lot of experimentation without having to re-roll. That said, ESO has a gear level cap at what is called CP160. At that point, gear progression is horizontal; i.e. it's about acquiring different sets. And there are hundreds of different gear sets with different tradeoffs. So there is very high customization for builds in ESO, both in terms of gear and abilities, and it's inexpensive to respec. You just need to acquire the desired gear sets, but that's no different from NW.
Thanks man. You commented on my reddit post and I'm making this build when I get on. My PVE Warden is a Magic build so I'm going to race change. What you recommend out of Khajit and Dark Elf? I know it's a preference. I've just subbed. Really good video and it's good how you broke everything down.
From a strictly stat perspective, Dark Elf. There are no wasted passives and fire resistance is valuable considering how popular / strong MagDKs are. Khajit is great for NB. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Enjoy your Warden!
You have to edit or replace the src/Data.lua file in the addon folder. Here's mine: drive.google.com/file/d/1bokvWbVO9B0wanGr5shhkXWW1CH5uwmt/view?usp=sharing
I wouldn't go heavy in more than 2 slots, because if you have fewer than 5 medium you: 1. lose weapon damage 2. lose stamina sustain 3. lose access to Elude I used to run 5 heavy back in 2020 and sometimes in 2021, but the drop in damage is noticeable and IMO you'll struggle to meaningfully pressure. If you replace Sithis with something else, you could run a monster set. Good options are Magma Incarnate or Markyn's Ring of Majesty. Both of those provide less mitigation than Gaze of Sithis but more weapon damage.

Congrats on meeting someone! To be clear, I was NOT on the NW hype train. I have such low expectations for games and was not convinced based on things I had seen (including Lazy Peon's review) that the game was not ready for launch. But I was frustrated with Zenimax releasing faceroll OP sets in ESO (Hrothgar's Chill, Dark Convergence) and decided in mid October to try NW out, after watching streams about it live and chatting with people on Twitch and Discord. @@taugrim There isn't a real PvP in ME3. You compete with your team-mates for points during a match (and globally) but you are all awarded the same. There is several ways to do harm to your allies but I wouldn't advise it :D Bricky made a great video about that multiplayer mode ua-cam.com/video/gfFLG5zkdzc/v-deo.html What keeps players hooked most of all is enemy design and mechanics. Plus the build options for fine tuning are endless.
@@taugrim Also thanks for the old Swordmaster guides in Warhammer! I have applied them to private server Return of Reckoning and the tactical analysis still stands up despite the large number of changes and balancing that has happened since your videos! LUL
I really love how you talk through the whole thing and really break down not only the build, but also BG. I wish I had saw this video when I first started pvp. I had to learn a lot of the stuff the hard way lol. Very well done!
Taugrim!!!!!!!! my favorite pvp creator of all times sir!!! I missed you from the guild wars2 and swtor days!!! AWESOME to see you play my fav game!!This made me happy af to see you again
I make content based on what I'm currently playing, when I have the time. I was playing WoT earlier this year, but I lack confidence in Wargaming's ability to make design decisions that are healthy for the game. WoT is rife with P4A (pay for advantage) mechanics / OP premium tanks and I don't see Wargaming changing how they operate. It's unfortunate as WoT is a great game.
@@taugrim I figured that was the reason you stopped. I've stopped putting any money in the game and I'm about to stop playing as no matter what I do, without gold, I am bleeding credits and will pretty much be dead in a month or so. WoT used to be so great, and could still be. But the devs are killing it completely.
Yup you can see the Changes here: taugrim.com/2022/05/11/stamina-warden-pvp-build-taugrims-brawler/#change-log In a nutshell, I swapped Resolving Vigor out for Living Trellis, to better manage the high burst proactively.
I am not an ESO player, never actually played it, just wanted to say I appreciate you putting out content that isn't WoT, looking forward to your next videos!
Hi Taugrim, I have been following you for about a decade ever since I learned to circle strafe from your guides! Anyways I think you would really enjoy the pvp game play in Warhammer Return of the Reckoning. Check it out!
Yes, I played WAR RoR during the pandemic. The tier 1 RVR was a welcome blast from the past. It would be awesome if some developer would re-make Warhammer Online with modern game design: action combat, aiming, etc. WAR had so much potential but Mythic Entertainment did not manage the scope nor expectations well. It was such a phenomenal, ground-breaking game in so many ways. They just reached for the stars and should have been aiming at the sky. Sadly, the same thing happened with Camelot Unchained. I donated ~8 years ago and have no expectation of ever seeing a working product. As a product manager, I see this time and again with companies. Ya gotta prioritize your product's features, or you won't please anyone.
Great to see you back and uploading man. Your WoT videos were superb-- don't even play ESO but with was an instant click. Made my week to see this. Cheers

Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, the damage is not great given that its survivability is good. Builds are about tradeoffs. The thing about 1vX is that a lot of times skilled, geared players are beating up on noobs. It's simultaneously entertaining to watch but also pitiful 🤣🤣🤣. No player can consistently 1v2 two equally skilled and geared players unless they're running a FOTM build with OP gear sets. I mostly play in BGs because there is no-CP (i.e. it's a level playing field), there's MMR, and it's the best context for testing builds. However I'll likely poke around in Cyrodiil this weekend as players on Reddit have been saying that the server upgrade has massively improved performance.
@@taugrim ur right for the most part but iv learned beyond this u use noobs as bombs to kill vets get me 😎cheese i know but hey got do what u gotta do but yea most 1vx is beating up noobs i that being said iv 1burst vet in cryodil under the ryt conditions theres vids on my channel of my droping high cp vet dks in 1 combo so when ur dmg is high enough and the lag allows ovsly 😂 the problem comes when u meet more than 3 vet players with no squishys around just pack it up unless u got a 500 bal for huge bomb combo ur not gonna out dps the offhealing survivability i run around with 33k and 32k ristance 7k weapon say no more 20k deep tooltips u clearly understand the game and meta very well what other classes do u play ?
Send me your in-game name, if you're willing. I see so many names in BGs from the 2 PVP guilds I'm in (Ulfhednar and Legends Syndicate) and other players. Good times!
Depends how you define them, e.g. ivypanda.com/essays/statistically-significant-but-not-meaningful/ That said, I should have chosen 2 words that have more distinct meaning. Thanks for the feedback.

You compete with your team-mates for points during a match (and globally) but you are all awarded the same. There is several ways to do harm to your allies but I wouldn't advise it :D
Bricky made a great video about that multiplayer mode ua-cam.com/video/gfFLG5zkdzc/v-deo.html
What keeps players hooked most of all is enemy design and mechanics. Plus the build options for fine tuning are endless.
cool video Taugrim.
Welcome back to youtube!
Hello Taugrim... it is Escorpiao here from ESO... " healer " nice youtube channel
Road to Dunedain #1 :D
great to see you having fun with a fantasy mmo again!
Me too 😀
@@taugrim Also thanks for the old Swordmaster guides in Warhammer!
Thanks 🙏
I had a hypothesis that there aren't enough videos explaining how to do well in BGs, so your comment is really helpful.
@@taugrim You're welcome! I really do appreciate these kind of videos as a noob to pvp.
Taugrim!!!!!!!! my favorite pvp creator of all times sir!!! I missed you from the guild wars2 and swtor days!!! AWESOME to see you play my fav game!!This made me happy af to see you again
Wait so do you not make tanks content anymore? :( In any case, welcome back!
@@taugrim Totally understand dude! Anyways, glad to see you back and making content you enjoy!
Love me some Taugrim videos!! :D
good video smart
Hey Taugrim! Appreciate your videos man. Maybe we can look forward to some more uncut videos!
Nice video. What addon for the floating combat damage/heals bro?
It's AUI's scrolling combat text.
You can see my recommended addons here:
taugrim.com/2022/05/11/stamina-warden-pvp-build-taugrims-brawler/#addons
Very nice! Solid and poised analysis of the match, just like in WoT.
Good to see you Taugrim
Any updates with the new patch
Yup you can see the Changes here:
taugrim.com/2022/05/11/stamina-warden-pvp-build-taugrims-brawler/#change-log
In a nutshell, I swapped Resolving Vigor out for Living Trellis, to better manage the high burst proactively.
I am not an ESO player, never actually played it, just wanted to say I appreciate you putting out content that isn't WoT, looking forward to your next videos!
Glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate your appreciation.
Cheers
Your comments made my week too.
Happy to see you Taugrim! Crazy to think I've been following you for ELEVEN years. Hope things are well my dude.
Same to you! Glad to be back.

Guys after seeing this video there is no doubt in my mind that stamcro could also use the rush of agony and merciless charge set
Absolutely.
Was unfortunate enough :P to bump into you on bgs. Pulled it off att the final stretch but that warden absolutely slaughtered. Amazing build even more impressive skill, ty for the dedication brother!
If you're the DK @Arlo, that was an incredible match, and one I will likely feature on my channel at some point.
GG and thanks for dropping by and for the kind words 🙏🙏🙏
@@taugrim Ye that was me, had never seen a stamden wreck like that on bgs! Gf brother and keep up the amazing work!
I really like ur style with the comentany u go threw everything very well this will be amazing for people newer to warden props well done tho the dmg cant be overly gr8 tho guessing ur not hitting 7k+ weapon dmg if u want a 1vx cryodil build id be happy to help can impove alot keep it up 👊
Thanks for the feedback.
It funny when I see "high MMR" and notice these are the players that often, guess im à high mmr🤷♂️
Send me your in-game name, if you're willing.
I see so many names in BGs from the 2 PVP guilds I'm in (Ulfhednar and Legends Syndicate) and other players. Good times!
@@taugrim im also in Ulfhednar
@@taugrim ill DM you in game when i saw you, i wont tell my @ here lol

What cosmetic armor is this?
Ebonsteel Knight Cuirass
Dragonguard Pauldrons
Ebony Gauntlets
Honor Guard Greaves
Ebony Boots
Significant and meaningful are synonymous lmao
Depends how you define them, e.g. ivypanda.com/essays/statistically-significant-but-not-meaningful/
That said, I should have chosen 2 words that have more distinct meaning. Thanks for the feedback.
@@taugrim im just trolling haha
