    Another insane super team we almost saw recently was the Raptors. Kawhi allegedly told the Clips and Raptors whoever gets PG gets me. OKC made an offer to the Raptors that included PG and Westbrook for Siakam, Vanvleet, and picks. If that had happened, the Raptors would’ve been crazy. Assuming the same Westbrook trade with Houston would’ve happened for CP and picks, the Raptors would’ve had Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby, Normal Powell, Serge Ibaka, Marc Gasol, and Danny Green. That roster would’ve been insane (also fragile though)

    If bron and dwade signed up with the bulls, i think drose will not get injured. Drose got injured because he played in garbage time versus philly, imagine bron and dwade sealing the game away and letting rose sit and rest, that would be monumental and perhaps the entire matchup wouldnt even happen at the same time

    • @eamparbeng
      @eamparbeng Рік тому +8

      His acl injury was caused by improper running and landing mechanics. He ran in his heel rather than on his toes. And Derrick Rose didn't have good body control in his lower body when it came to landing after an athletic dunk over larger defenders. Those things lead to bone fatigue as over use causes the tendons and ligaments around the knees to weaken. If Derrick Rose did the same running and landing mechanics drills track athletes use like what LeBron did, those knee injuries were very preventable

    If Melo went to the Pistons, they most likely wouldn’t have traded for Sheed, Lindsay Hunter, and Mike James, which would have made it harder to win a ring

    • @lucien8581
      @lucien8581 Рік тому +1

      Hunter was already part of the team at the start of that season. He was traded alongside Chucky Atkins [and a pick iirc] to the Celtics for James as a salary dump to make the Sheed trade work. He was released by Boston and resigned by the Pistons after a 10 day waiting period or something. They probably still make the trade because they needed help with post scoring but I don't think they win in 04 if Melo is getting more minutes than Prince.

      Clyde was 6'7'', I think he'd do just fine at the 3 and they'd have place for all of them.
      Granted, I'm assuming in this timeline Adelman doesn't put him in a doghouse and doesn't turn him into benchwarming spot up shooter. Drazen was already a legend by the time he arrived to Portland, it's not like suddenly worked on his game and became good at age 27, the Nets just gave him minutes and let him play his game.

    A few things: Kevin Garnett said in 2020 that he wanted to team up with Kobe and the Lakers in 2007, but Kobe never called him back. That was his preferred destination. As for Magic, if I’m not mistaken, his wife Cookie threatened to leave him if he stayed in the league beyond the 1996 season after his return from retirement in February 1996. As for Scottie Pippen, the rumored deal in 1999 was between the Rockets and Lakers, not the Blazers and Lakers. Pippen wanted to play for Phil Jackson again. However, a deal with the Lakers never happened; going to the Blazers in October for 6 players (Ed Gray, Brian Shaw, Kelvin Cato, Carlos Rogers, Stacey Augmon, and Walt Williams) was the consolation prize.
