    Can you please guide that i am making aluminum hydroxide on lab scale from bauxite then the difficulty is that of precipitation some says that if you will add excess water aluminum hydroxide will automatically pecipitated out kindly guide how i can precipate aluminum hydroxide

      Add pure crystals of aluminum hydroxide to the saturated solution of sodium aluminate (III) and allow it to cool to room temperature. You will achieve your precipitation.

    can i ask u why at 3:35 al(oh)3 doesnt react with naoh since according to my knowledge, al(oh)3 is amphoteric

    • @TheScienceChefAcademy
      @TheScienceChefAcademy  Рік тому +1

      Of course Al(OH)3 reacts with NaOH, but in a saturated solution of NaAl(OH)4, Al(OH)3 can be crystallized out of the solution when pure crystals of the hydroxide are added. We call it the ion concentration effect; that is, when the concentration of a particular ion is very high in a given solution, the ion will be precipitated from that solution.
