Finally someone can well explain the diffrence between sample index+nearest and the sample nearest surface node, thank you
Thanks so much for the excellent explanation, much appreciated. New subscriber

Wonderful as usual
bro u needs more views and subscribers
Thank you, step by step 💪
sorry for bothering u with my likes.. its just that i like ur tutorials and explanation
😇
Thank you guys 😊 I love your likes and comments, it helps me to keep motivate and also to tell to UA-cam to suggest my videos to more people, so likes are great for engagement. Thank you for your support 🙏
great explenation!, can we have " road geometrynode with clean intersection etc " 😄🙏 just some idea to work with
Excellent bro thank you so much.

Magic for simulation nodes 😶🌫
Thank you, I made the same setup as your sample nearest surface, for IK fingers to track a surface, I used the value of the sample nearest surface node as an attribute position to use singles Icospheres out of the geometry nodes, every spheres moves as intended, but when I use shrikwrap constraint on the IK fingers to these icospheres only one of the 10 is moving, every other spheres get stuck, I've been messing around this for 3 days I feel like I tried everything..

Why this node Sample Index node need additional Position node? The grid node is generating the mesh, it doesn't have position of vertices?
From intuitiveness point of view, had i tried his node w/o referring to your video or documentation first, I would be lost.
I know it's confusing, it happened to me when I was learning Geometry Nodes. For me, the way to understand the Position node is like: some nodes can apply modifications based in position. However, they need a 🗺️ position map which contains all the data that can use to apply some modification. So, without this node is like they are lost.
Think like you are a delivery pizza worker and I tell you: you have to go to Street X. Okay, but if you don't have a map/app to see where is this street, then you are lost. So, that's why Position node is for. If your node is not working, maybe it is because he needs a position map to have a reference.
I will do a tutorial with some example to illustrate it better :)
