Wow victory got boring really fast for Regina.
I don't think it's the fact that it's boring. Like she said, it's not real. Once again she misunderstood her happiness. She thought that seeing Snow White lonely and weak would make her happy but it hasn't. Because deep down she didn't need that, that wasn't her happiness. And by the looks of it, she actually misses the fire between the two of them. It made her feel alive. Her anger and pain made her feel alive. Now it is just like Maleficent told her, she has a void that she can't fill. It isn't real so it doesn't give her real feelings. She's just a shell basically.

Regina saying “they do it because they have to not because they want to,” isn’t that almost implying that she wanted them to be her friends and do it willingly instead of them doing it fearfully and her being alone,

On some level, that's exactly what she wants. Remember back in the EF, when she wanted the peasants to love and respect her, and blamed Snow for them not? Same thing. One some level she wants to be the legit queen, to be loved and respected, but at the same time, she knows deep down she doesn't deserve that, and transfers the anger and blame.
Yup, it's also put very well by zelena in season 3, 'you cast a curse that was just a fancy form of running away'. She wanted to leave her old life behind and start fresh but as we also see many times she wanted everything; love and vengeance

I actually never known what it was like to be respected I was never given respect from anyone.
“They do it because they have to, not because they want to”. You can see the answer to that in the Season 6 finale, when the dwarfs change her office door and wrote “Retina Mills - Queen” ❤
It baffles me that Regina thought for a second that frozen time would be satisfying. Even if watching people suffer is the only thing that gives you joy, you would still watch the exact same thing every day for (what was supposed to be) eternity. In the end frozen time is exactly what made Henry into such a strong believer. Imagine experiencing the literal exact same day for 10 years and suddenly being given an explanation. You'd believe it no matter how insane it is
I kinda would have liked to see her adjust to the knowledge base she is given when Storybrooke is created; like how she suddenly knows how to use a payphone (lol 1983) and drive, you know stuff like that
literally commenting four years late but on day 1 she almost called archie "cricket" before correcting to "dr. hopper", she wouldn't have known to call him that if she didn't have knowledge about the town and its residents so she probably received it all in the curse too

I wish they did like a random callback like somewhere between season 4-6 where it’s just them in the town like this, but happy. I would love to see Regina walking around as part of the town.

And so the Evil Queen began to get a little taste of the Hell she had sentenced herself to endure. She had locked herself in with her victims, and they at least had the comfort of false memories and blocked perceptions. She, OTOH, had to _live_ with it. I can almost hear Rumple laughing, even if he doesn't currently remember. "You really don't!" I think it was that moment that it began to sink in just how utterly _alone_ she is now.
"Fight baaack? Why would I do that?"
It was at this moment Regina knew, she'd fucked up.

I find it funny that Regina is now annoyed by the fact that cursed snow won't put up a fight anymore XD
I wonder how long it took her to begin thinking about Henry Sr., and what she had actually gained by killing him...I'll bet she cried herself to sleep within a month of arrival.

The show depicted Regina as Queen or Mayor but NEVER having any work to do. Nice to have prestigious titles and still only worry about your personal problems. Apparently queens and mayors do nothing all day but walk around and worry about revenge.
Well as queen I suppose that after she started her revenge agenda, no one would have the guts to say anything because she could just... kill them. So i suppose there were probably some kind of council made by the nobles that tried to focus on the government of the kingdom. But I do believe she had some degree of participation or at least knowledge of what was going on since she made a deal with Rumple about cutting off the commercial trades with king George. As mayor, at least in the first season, she had quite a lot of scenes working.
The show literally shows that Regina is a workaholic many times😂. We get glimpses of her doing work as Queen in flashbacks (she sits with teenage snow at court in season 5 and its established she has trade agreements with king George in season 2) but they're not exactly the exciting scenes people watch for. And then in storybrooke she is constantly in her office, the town falls apart without her so much so that even when she is evil in season 2 she still does her mayoral duties and when she steps down as mayor in season 4 everybody wants her back because Snow can't handle it.
She has work! It's mentioned but just not shown cause it has nothing to do with the plot
Its not day 3., but this is 20 years after she casted curse.
This is when I knew Regina was going to be my favorite character in the show
So did Rumple/Mr Gold not have any of his memories from the enchanted forest until Emma showed up? Did he always knew about the curse but was playing along? I'm confuse on that part.
Anna Nuttall It wasn't until Emma showed up. That's why he asked Snow what was going to be her child's name. So when Emma came to Storybrooke he will have his memories back (that's why he wrote Emma's name over and over again in the piece of parchment that he hid in his cell). Once Emma said her name to him that is when he got back his memories.

Well the actor played it as if he didn’t lose his memories. So I always took it that Rumple remembered everything.
What would really be twisted was having David “wake up.” Regina made him love her.

i just realised if regina got henry when he was a baby time in story brooke was frozen so henry wouldnt age and people would wonder why he wnt from 1 to ten in not 0that long

he was the only one moving up grades. Everyone else did but Henry wouldn't have until he reached MM's class.
It's not necessarily a Groundhog Day situation, maybe more like a Groundhog Year, they don't age and don't register the passing of years, so it's possible Snow just moves through her regular annual curriculum and then starts over again the next year like real-life teachers. The only differences would be that she doesn't remember how long she's been doing it, doesn't think about vacations, and doesn't notice that all of the kids are the same kids every year except for Henry.
@@beccalowry6437 It's not _quite_ that bad, because he does age and moves from grade to grade while everyone else doesn't...but at the same time, that also means he can never make friends, never bond with anyone, because he ages and the other kids don't, and the adults are all mind-locked and he has free will and clear perception. Life in Storybrooke for Henry was a waking nightmare as he grew older.
