Thanks for posting this. It’s the ONLY video of Tarpon Springs that shows something other than the sponge docks (which I ❤ BTW). I wish you could’ve driven down Sunset Drive to Fred Howard park. Remember Tarpon Springs from half century ago-sponge gathering and tarpon fishing was done there. Went out on a sponge gathering boat-ran by Greek people. They would put on their hard hat diving gear and use a rake like tool to gather the sponges off the bottom of the bay. You could even buy NATURAL sponges for bathing,washing your car and boats.
I'm sure all of these people appreciate you and your wife driving around cracking jokes and filming them during a horrible time in their lives. Anything for a buck, right?

You guys were so cute to watch this morning! I have been looking for a friend for years in the Holiday Springs Tarpon area. The last time I was there in 1998 I helped them move in. Their property had a main house and two mobile homes on it. I haven't been able to get in touch with her but it was really nice to see the drive you took. And kind of sad too for all the damage. You made me laugh with the "woman for Trump! " That has to be a goof because honestly, you were right who in the right mind as a female would really want to support this guy? Unfortunate that they were really supporters. I was surprised that there weren't more signs, maybe the times are changing. Thank you so much for the video!!!!
This is the Greek town, founded by Greek deep underwater diving sponge fishermen and their families. Why there's so much Greek everything, especially food, bakeries, other businesses . Great place to buy natural sponges, and other underwater natural items, and also has a lot of shops with the work of artists. That's all on the main street. If not showing that area, it must be fine, and certainly on the water, but at ship dock heights, for the important size of the sponge fishing boats. Certainly one of my favorite places in Florida because it's so original and European downtown. Sometimes my family and I were asked if we were Greeks because Castillian Spanish sounds similar to Greek. Would hope that Hurricane Helene spared them.
