- After Kate Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis many were curious about what type of cancer the Princess of Wales has. However, Kensington Palace made it clear it would not share a specific diagnosis. Dr. Husain Abbas, a board certified surgeon who specializes in gastrointestinal diseases and cancers, joined us on The Morning Show to explain more.
As an MD myself, I am outraged by the press consulting with oncologists, "gravely" debating what Princess Catherine's diagnosis could mean: another unbearable bullying, lack of respect and the beginning of a new spree of feeding frenzy by irresponsible, despicable so called journalists.
I am deeply disappointed by the colleagues, not in any way privy to the Princess's case, agreeing for a fee to demean themselves in front of the cameras, forgetting our most central duty as doctors: DO NO HARM!

Agreed. It makes for clicks. The dumbest interview of a doctor I saw, was a really kind woman who seemed unwilling to speak about princess Catherine and her diagnosis. I did listen to the whole video and all she really said was something along the lines of “we don’t really know what surgery took place but I respect Catherine’s Privacy“ I am I appreciate it her saying this, but I also thought the news agency was just wanting peoples attention and it was a waste of time but then I knew that really ahead of time. People are just piling on.

I was younger than Kate when I was diagnosed with cancer. That was 35 years ago, and I had young children, I can identify with her. The chemo was hell. While I am grateful, I've had a normal life since then, I find it shocking given the BILLIONS of dollars or research supposedly done, there has been NO progress in treatment.
The "adjuvant therapy" drugs have new names, but the same side effects.

As someone that has gone through years of scary situations relating biopsies, surgeries, testing, etc., the one word that would drive me nuts and would make me feel that my condition was minimized, was the word PREVENTATIVE. The reporter could not have described this better! I kept telling asking the doctor, how can this be 1:13 preventative when the cells are telling you otherwise, when they are not normal cells anymore? Even if the surgery was successful and thank God in many cases it is, not all the cells are removed, meaning you need treatment because NO ONE, not the best doctor, can tell you if the cancer cells were removed completely. And don’t get me started with the term pre-cancer. That is so hurtful when your fear and your pain is still there no matter what stage it is.
Many ways to explain cancer diagnosis but without the persons medical documentation of the cancer is pure speculation ,

I actually thought this was a very responsible report. The interviewer stated the facts as known. He didn't do any speculating or embellishing of the facts, nor did he regurgitate the absurd conspiracy theories. Also he did not probe or push the doctor into speculating what her cancer could be. The doctor was excellent in his responses. He said exactly what he can deduce from the known facts and gave a general overview of the effects of chemotherapy-physical as well as psychological. Facing the unknown and having young children, being in the public eye all adding to the burden of this disease for the Princess. I thought an important point the doctor made was that they may extend out her time away from public duties past April. I would guess well into the fall if she experiences serious side effects from the chemotherapy. This report should be broadcast all over social media with an addendum..."End of story until further notice.". All in all both gentlemen were very respectful. The interviewer even referred to her as Kate Middleton as most people know her by, and then he referred to her as the Princess of Wales. He did not belabor the point that the internet was in a state of hysteria. He's a good host. Well done. Short and sweet.
I have had the same diagnostic symptoms. Leave the princess alone. She will be around for a long time. The surgery was the easiest part. Chemotherapy is the worst. I have the understanding what she is going through. From the US. People that bash her shame on them. The princess is only a fantastic person and a "woman". The same human body all women have. Put your self in her place. A young woman who is suffering from a horrible abnormalitie that anyone can suffer from. God only hope it will never be you. I'm not famous enough for the nonsense. Now I'm getting confused because this doctor makes it sound like the mass didn't look like cancer but they found that it was? And other doctors seem to be saying that apart from this tumor, they by the way found some (other?) cancer, which would indicate it was in early stages. But that doesn't sound the same as what this doctor said here? Is it really in early stages, or is this tumor that was found cancerous, so not so early?

Im about to go through the same thing after having a lump and lymph nodes removed. They insist on doing three precautionary rounds because my score was 51.. I don't exactly want it but I'm in the high risk category for it coming back..even if it's somewhere else on the body...I wonder if thats the case with her to 😳😳

situation. It all began with the events surrounding Kate's where abouts.
People all across the world were so
concerned about Kate Middleton and her children when someone felt compelled to publicly post an altered photo of them
to reassure everyone that they were okay, that's when every suspicious mind had something to say at that point.The altered photo with the lies that started appearing on the internet, was suppose to leed us to believe that Kate was doing well. But that wasn't enough.
We eventually received an A1 generated video of Kate informing everyone about her cancer; we cared more about the content not the A1 generated video and hoped that she recover quickly.
