I've just started trying to learn the open cross, almost getting it. It's easier to get the first swing going faster like a normal double under so the momentum carries round as you cross your arms, but I'm finding it trickier to get the same momentum doing the cross first. Not going to stop til I get it though, just recently learned the dragon roll by persevering. Great video as always!
Just want to say thank you for providing tips on this. It really helped me a lot on figuring out how to do it properly. I finally can do double under cross overs smoothly now. Uploaded video on my channel.
*This* type of demonstration is exactly the type that makes RA the best channel out here! Moves made famous by boxers are definitely the best. I've seen "open" crossover sometimes being referred to as the Sugar Ray Leonard crossover because he made was one of the guys who brought it into the spotlight, kind of how Mayweather did his version of the double under crossovers.
I found the open cross easier to learn initially, but the Floyd Mayweather cross easier for consecutive jumps. Simply because at the end of the jump, your hands end up in a more natural position (for me). So its easier mentally to start the next jump without getting confused.
Top stuff as always bro. I've only just started to jump rope again need to build up after the damage to my left lung. And hoping to get to the DUs again so I can start to learn the DU Cross.
Open/Cross 1st😊 currently working with Muna to really get consistent with my Mayweather so I can pop💥off signature RA combos like all the coolcats😎!! 💛🖤💛
So there is a trick in how to do the multiples, open-cross or cross-open, I can do one maybe two, the rest goes out of whack, what do you do flick the wrists?
Hi Can you please explain how to get from the part when you have jumped over the rope for the first time and your arms are crossed. Finding it difficult to get to the next part.
