- As the final portrait to go up on the Hyperbolic Time Chamber wall we had to do someone special. I have also wanted to share some thoughts on things that I have picked up in regards to Spray Paint Portraits for some time so it felt right to combine the two for this video! I put together a little tutorial sharing how to start and paint a portrait with spray paint. There is so much that goes into it, so it is impossible to cram all of that into a short form video. However, I think this scratches the surface! I am still a student myself and pretty new to the game so these are just a few things that I have picked up thus far! If there was anything that you felt that I missed please feel free to share them with me! All that to say, this is the best way I know how to paint a spray-paint portrait!

I think doing a portrait tutorial surrounded by multiple fire portraits captured at different camera angles is not only a great way to prove your credibility before you start, but it’s the biggest flex of all time 😂

He inspired us all. I wonder if he would be surprised about how many children watched his show and were inspired to pursue art later in life. He probably thought he was only teaching middle aged or older adults. He also managed to leap through class, culture and ideology effortlessly while spreading his message of the key to happiness along the way. We were watching and soaking it all up! It's definitely another level of hand eye coordination that takes time and practice to obtain. I was interested but I found I didn't have the patience for it. Props to those who do!!

I mainly do watercolor portraits but, I have a portrait mural job coming up. I find your video very helpful and I definitely feel like I should go back to the store to get more colors since it’s not like mixing paint with a brush. Your work looks amazing by the way!!!!!
With cans you can mix by spraying lightly on top of each other. But it definitely makes things easier when you have more options!

I use the Artograph digital Projector. Not cheap, around 400 but well worth it I think!

Hey man.... 😳..... just found your channel....and ...... "oh my" was my first utterance... 🤣
FANTASTIC WORK MY FRIEND! My daughter is learning how to draw and paint on canvas and other materials. She's 21 and yesterday she sent me a picture of her latest painting. I was absolutely shocked. I couldn't believe how far she had come with this talent. I have to admit, I didn't really push this creative process with her. I feel like now, after this amazing work she did, maybe I didn't push her enough when she was a teenager. Don't get me wrong, everything she did was good. She clearly had talent. I was never really all that interested at that time. I would compliment her work, maybe give a little constructive criticism, but that's about it.
I guess my question to you would be, how can I help her NOW? What can I do for her to REALLY push this?
I refuse to be some kind of "yes man" in her life. Her friends can do that. I'm her dad, not her friend. (learned that one the hard way 😆)
I'm just shocked at her progress over what....10 years or so? I can't escape this feeling that I could have done more for her throughout her creative process. HINDSIGHT is 2020. I could complain about it all day and night, mad at myself for something I can't do anything about now. What's done is done.
This young lady has it. I have absolutely NO DOUBT that my little girl can carve out a very nice life for herself with this. That seems to be where my head goes as a dad. What's the long game with this? Our family doesn't have any money for art school or any formal art institute. She's kind of on her own. I actually prefer it that way. With technology these days, ANYONE CAN BE YOUR TEACHER, MENTOR, PROFESSOR, ECT...
Sorry this is so long. I'm really trying to help her and maybe others can read this, who might relate to my situation, and are looking for answers as well. Thank you so so much for your hard work and dedication. It's amazing to watch artists, musicians, craftsman, ect.... perfect their craft, then explains how and why they did it a particular way. I literally know NOTHING about you. But again, you stood out. Way out. I could have picked any artist on UA-cam. I don't do that. I look for the personality of the "teacher" if you will. You articulate very well, you show every aspect of your process, and your voice is very soothing. Easy to listen to. I got all that out of one video. ONE. Yooo, thank you for taking the time to check out the video and for your kind words. In regards to your daughter I think honest feedback is always to best solution. Does she enjoy the process of creation? Does the enjoy the slow process of improvement? Does she have the personality that would lead to her spending a lot of time by herself working on her craft? Does she have this internal desire to want to create and share her ideas with the world? Does she have anything to say?
When it comes to being an artist I think there are a lot of intangibles that come into play, that are more then just being able to draw or paint ya know? I actually made a video about this topic as well that I will link right here!

You are right in saying that there are many different ways to learn now a days outside of school. So if you see the passion in her and she is willing to learn, then feeding that, and guiding that is going to be the best way for you to help in my opinion 🙏🏾
