In Vietnam you can buy any generic 125 bike for less than 1000 USD. I purchased a new Honda wave 125 last year in Thailand for 40,000 THB. (£900) And that included a free helmet and Jacket. A baseball cap and a rice cooker! They also delivered it for free 20 miles away. My point is we are being ripped off for bikes in this country. When will manufacturers realise if they sold them cheaper they would sell more.

I think you are way out of touch for what you are getting on these bikes. I have $10,000 worth of upgrades on my bike. Why would I ever think I could buy a bike itself for close to that cheap, that does what I need it to do? I had a 125 when I was 10 yrs old.

You're absolutely right buddy, you can buy a Royal Enfield in India starting from 1.6 lacs Indian rupee, which is like less than $2000 USD!!! And Enfield is a solid bike. Watch out some videos and you can see it for yourself.

I don’t. I actually listen. And sadly, if you’re talking 16 best new bikes and don’t mention the upcoming Kove 800, it’s disappointing, to say the least. 95hp, 185kg wet and a twin based on KTM 790, and all of this for ca. €10,000 should rattle the market quite a bit. It should definitely make the list.

The new and improved Tiger 900 pushed me over the edge, and over a year of indecision I finally pulled the trigger and put down some money for the 2024 Tiger 900 Rally Pro.
Ive been trying to pick between the Desert X, Husqvarna Norden 901 and the Tiger 900 for over a year. I feel like they really hit the sweet-spot this time around with the new updates!
So from now on im officially a Tiger owner xD

I'm in the same position. I had a deposit on a 900 RP, but pulled it when I test rode the Desert X (still have the deposit there for one of them). I think the new 900 RP addresses some of the reasons why I was drawn to the Desert X, but I'm going to wait to test ride them back to back before handing over the rest.

@@szeriman13 I can, of course, only answer for myself. I enjoy going off road every now & then, nothing too technical but certainly stuff where I could use some more suspension travel than my current 800 has. It can handle most of that but I had it bottom out a few times. That would be the main reason for me to go for the Rally.

I would still take the KTM 890 Adventure R or the Rally. It is a dream to ride on and off road. It is really easy to reconfigure to long road cruising by adding the bigger windscreen from the Adventure to it. Also, in spite of always being told how unreliable KTM is, I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH IT and it has run flawlessly. It is also extremely easy to service and I do all of that myself, including tire changes and balancing. My particular favorite aspect of the bike is it's ability to go off-roading and I like it much better than my BMW GS 1150 or my Yamaha Tenere that I have owned, which are also good. I hope to own my KTM for many more years to come, we will see.

Back in 97 I got mine that never actually worked ( except in the hands of those I gave it to ride it !!! 😶‍🌫 )
After 25 LOST , never to regain , years ,
I can reassure you that ,
been lucky or not shouldn't be the case of any product .
A case , in case of KTM , that NEVER actually CHANGED even AFTER 25+ years
( just ask any Ktm honest mechanic for cables , or dashboards...)
Anyway , I'm happy that you didn't have my ''bad'' luck , and you enjoyed your time with yours

CFMOTO is going to tear up the entire industry. Their bikes are absolutely amazing. They've been making engines for Kawasaki and KTM since 2013 or so, parts for BMW and Ducati such as dashboards, saddles and control units. Even Yamaha has recently made a deal with these guys. They really deliver. Their MT, CLX and NK line are superb. Their bikes are equipped with J Juan brakes AKA Brembo, ride by wire, cruise control, fully adjustable suspension, and just a beautiful finish on all their bikes.
CF MOTO has very reasonable prices, also what you see is what you get. Almost all of their models come in different variations, but no expensive upgrade packages like the western market is being terrorized with by BMW, Honda, Yamaha. Mark my word. CFMOTO is taking over!

Transalp is better than both. Its a whole 30kg lighter than the cfmoto, much better power to weight and fuel economy and still costs the same and much better value than the 800gs

@@shivamarya5225having ridden both the CF MotoMT and the Transalp in not so sure. The CF Moto at £9199 in cruise and full aluminium luggage is much cheaper spec for spec. I think the CF is a much better long distance tourer due to the seating position, seat comfort, turbulence, the aforementioned cruise control and the very smooth punch motor (a KTM 790). Of course it depends on what you want out of a bike and in the Adv category the Honda wins but then neither is really built for off road.

@@mac22011964 its not as smooth as the honda, and I'd argue the new honda seat is better, they worked out a new seat cushion which is firmer than before but more supportive and revzilla gave it praise in their review. There is more after market support for the transalp for anything you will need. And Its still way heavier so the power to weight is much lower and will become even slower when you put some weight on it

How about Huskvarna 901 Norden Expedition? It’s a great bike for a great value, packs a lot more than the AT. No KTM lineup at all?

put a 100'000 miles on a klr 650 as your first bike.... every other bike you have for the rest of your life is awesome lol. as someone who works on cfmoto quads ect..... just say no. its still just ebay/aliexpress level components at its core.
