I've only ever owned a APT and a Yorkie. My Grandfather owned a large compound with 8 guardian dogs simultaneously. From APT, a rotty, GSD, and a Presa. I've always been attached to the presa female he had. She wasn't the biggest out of them but she was the most dominant female. I've spent every summer with my grandfather growing up, he gave me the love of dogs that's in me. Love you gramps RIP
Hey good on you for making these videos. So much information. So many dumb people out there with bad information. I was stuck looking for a good breeder for pressas or Borbels here in the U.S and sadly most are watered down or nowhere near your level of dogs your showing. I was recently turned onto your youtube page. Ill definitely be reaching out probably in the fall for information on litters for the 2024 year after i finish my house.
This comment and your last one are really kind and we appreciate it sincerely. It does help motivate us even further to keep putting these kind of videos out there. Happy 4th of July good sir 👍
Im a 55yr old English guy and ive got my first Presa, after having many many breeds in my lifetime from American Bulldogs, French Mastiffs and bandogs and pitbulls etc and my Presa is by far the best breed ive ever had, he is a good role model for the breed, i can literally take him into an old people home and he would be calm and friendly, at only 17months and 65kg ish his personality is one of a lover not a fighter BUT if i give him the command he switches in an instant and becomes a demon dog from hell.. He loves our cat and neighbours and he is very affectionate with the family....! Best breed imo!!!
I got my presa canario at 5 weeks and she's now 6 months and i have four little children...their not scared of her but she wants to play with them but shes too big so her playing scares them she lets them pet her but i need help with teaching her not to jump on them any tips?
The main difference? Different dog entirely. Search for the article on our website SoCalPresa.com which will show in detail. It's about 1000 words which I'm not going to rewrite in a comment

He's great w kids! He w as lks the neighborhood kids home from school! His best friend is a 7yr old boy ...his parents & sisters love him ti!! He's my gift from God! Debbie G
He also has need to be great trained hes one and a 1/2 years old he'll be 2 November and he doesn't chew on anything I've been with him for a year and I've taught him and he just does not chew anything hes the best best friend I've ever had
@@SoCalPresaI’ve never owned a big dog, but would love to get a presa, would you recommend it for people like me? Only dog I’ve owned is a chihuahua, but I’m willing to pay for protection training and socialize it as much as possible.
I will definitely buy a Presa from you one day as they are clearly so well bred and taken care of. It will prob be in 10 years though 😛 if I’m honest because I want to be settled and have lots of time for the dog 👍 especially a beast like a Presa. Perhaps I’m lucky but every Presa I have met has been very friendly yet very calm and composed. There is no other Presa breeder I can think of who showing their transparency like you 🙏 and every one of your dogs is stunning.
💖💖💖 Since being introduced to my first Presa, I can't imagine not having one! I've had & loved dearly Rotties, and a Dobie, amongst strays & shelter dogs...all my life. My Presa boy is so enamored with my old (15 in Dec) Lab, he's beside her all the time. She really taught him the ropes, demanded respect which he readily gives and I really believe the older dogs do teach the young ones. I just may be in touch with you in the next couple of years & would love a young, well bred Presa girl! Kudos to you for the love & care you give them!
Thank you for sharing that! They will teach each other a whole lot in the time they spend. Hopefully in the near future we will have you part of our SocalPresa family 💯
Thanks for the video. We lost our Boerboel about 2 months ago, so I'm still deciding what to do. I think we're gonna get another Boerboel, Presa, or Cane. Now I'm just trying to decide..
@@SoCalPresa I just checked out your site. You definitely have some beautiful dogs. We're in Fresno, so if we go that route I'll definitely be talking to you. 👍
Great Video. I've always had American Bulldog Johnston Type. There great Dogs. My family has had Presa . My Mom just picked up a Female Pup. My Mom is 83 at that. I just picked up her Sister. She's a Big Girl. Her Mom is 136 lbs. Her Dad is 130 Ibs. Athletic Type. Remi is like the Mom. Alpha Female. Been Socailized with People and pets. Very important to do being a Turn Key Guard Dog. Believe they bring the Goods. I've been around Presa for 15 yrs. There worth it putting in the Time with them. Cane Corso are nice as well but to me the Presa are the ones who pulled My Heart Strings.
@SoCalPresa My large brindle American Mastiff followed me in the mountains for 13 years, followed hand signals and commands 100% of the time. After two years of Phantom Limb syndrome since she died I finally got a mastiff puppy. She looks just like one of yours from a video. I wouldn’t cut her ears off for a million dollars.
@SoCalPresa abusing animals by cutting their ears off has nothing to do with working. It’s cruel and illegal in civilized countries. There’s no justification for that form of cruelty. My Presa will be kept intact
@@SoCalPresa Yeah I've seen them before (not in real life). Also look a bit like a Boerboel to me in the shorter dogs . Look like nice purposeful dogs .
They need a huge amount of work, imho opinion they can't be trusted with kids especially the high drive ones, it only takes a strange noise or someone to come to the door for mine to go into full guard , dogs redirect bite and I've found my presa canarios to do that often with each other , the difference is a redirect with a presa canario can be extremely damaging. Like all the guardian breeds they have been toned down, I live in Europe and mine are direct from working farm dogs I love them but would never reccomend to as family dog, just to too man and dog aggressive if you have a proper one
Ours are working line and will react the same. We have to raise them well balanced as puppies in order to keep them in line the best possible. if I was to not do this, they would be absolute devils
PRESA GANG! Presa is a well rounded breed. Can do just about everything. Most importantly, bodyguard. ❤️ 💪🏽 💪🏽

You have to correct her gently, she will stop eventually, but the more time she spends with them, the less excited she will be and less prone to do it
I really want a Presa Canario how do I get one.

You bet!
How much dose it take to feed that kind of dog
It will vary.. We have 4 adult dogs and they can burn through 100lbs of just kibble a month, not including supplements and raw foods
