- What do you think of this Algerian Train? I mean literally everyone told us that this was one of the best trains you could get from Algiers to Oran..we were super lucky with the seats we paid for and the amount of space we got, however the near 2 hour delay and the fact the journey took even longer than expected kind of took away the novelty of the train journey...

I agree with you about the beer, but the girl was on private beaches because I think they mentioned the dress code doesn't allow them to swim on public beaches. Even beer can be said to be from hotels intended for foreigners only, and the fault lies with the importer, not the consumer, because this thing is legal and not smuggled :(

Hi Matt and Molly. Sorry to see you had a hard time with your train journey from Algiers to Oran. Trains there can be a hit and miss. Some lines are better than others. It is not acceptable, they need to up theirs standards on that one. You are right, a flight would have been better. Or, actually a taxi would have got you there a lot quicker, Algeria invested in a very expensive East - West super highway and the views are really nice I heard. Can’t wait for your Oran video. 👍❤🙂

im from ain defla and went to oran for the first time last week, only place i went to was akid and even there i was confused where to go ,lots of night life as well .
most funny thing i saw were 4 shawarma restaurants placed one next to the other all full of people, like damn, they dont even need to have competition

Honestly same train trips in other countries would cost more ewpensive than that witg my experinece and even with the worst trains. I tried the train before in Algeria and it is very comfy comparing to other countries. And when they say business class ir is comparing to the same train level it is not literally a business class. Enjoy your stay guys. Hope u had a nice trip ❤
my friend stop defending our country , the train was normal and other countries are ten times better , they respect time and get you where you want so fast with bullet trains.

Dream on! Example of trains in Morocco: almost the same distance 350km (Tanger- Casa) takes 2:10 hours. Speedy and comfy train. every hour and on-time. Cost from 9 USD!

Just watched the Michael Palin documentary of the same journey. Amazing to think he had to travel with guards as it was then the most dangerous train route in the world. Looks completely different now!

لا يوجد فرق بين الدرجة الأولى و الثانية حتى فرق السعر بسيط جدا. القطار بسعر منخفض و هو للمواطن البسيط ليس الهدف منه تحقيق أرباح كبيرة. يعني الدرجة الأولى لا تعني رفاهية بالضرورة هي مجرد تسمية
Let me clarify something sir, first not all trains have low service like this old one we aren't in Switzerland ...second , there's no difference between first and second class ...all passengers are mixted together thirdly and finally , this gentleman is among the simple people... and may be he's going to find the uneducated , weak, poor , bad dressed folks...
As advice ...if you want to enjoy your trip in Algeria or in other place ... try to adapt with the simple life of its habitants

these trains are low price and aren't really luxurious, they are affordable to everyone ,if you want to take advantage of experiencing Algeria fully then rent a car and follow your gps, stop here and there, taking a train from one place to another is not good if you want rest and luxury, we do not have that here
