I have a copy of the film taped off CBC during the early 90s and the dialog is exactly what is on this clip. It's a bad joke about the shlepper brothers being dogs whereas Omar etc. are rats. There may have been multiple dialog takes done during the audio sessions - as is usually the case - but I've never heard those words on anything final. I did the layouts for this (working from the storyboards) and don't concur with this myth that's grown up around this line of dialog.
Yeah. There's a lot of things they did wrong with the writing, but Omar's character is hands down the biggest one. No one really has an arc in the film, even Angel doesn't really change at all from the beginning to the end. Nobody learns anything, except maybe Omar and Zip, the former happens instantaneous and off screen, and the latter winds up dead.

A well-made villain if I've ever seen one
0:12 "I'm sorry... _dog breath (penis nose)"_
I believe the original Canadian voice actor said the edited comment on the original cut.
and I love how Toad whips out those sunglasses as soon as Mok zaps in.
I did the layouts for this (working from the storyboards) and don't concur with this myth that's grown up around this line of dialog.
watching this at .25 speed to get every frame into my brain. Some of them are so great! Mok's face is rubber haha
Have never seen this movie but damn he is an awesome villain!
"Enough about THEM let´s talk about YOU. What did you think of MY last album" what a charmer -_-
My fave line in the whole film.
is it too bad that i kinds have a crush on Mok now? he is old and creepy but on a villainy charming way
2:30 *can’t wait to see that in my nightmares*
The birth of *"And I oop!"* at 2:36
Interesting film but holy shit they could've made omar more likable.
Or just plain taken him out of the movie entirely!
Angel should’ve been a lesbian.
His face is like a lava lamp, and just can't stop watching.
This is the first I've ever heard or seen of this thing and I love it but I also hate it
I'm so glad everyone agrees that he sounded like David Bowie at first.
1:43 love that laugh AND that guitar riff
Never seen or heard of this before.
Fantastic animation.
Great mix of subtlety and exaggeration.
1:35 if I was a supervillain I'd laugh like that myself
Just discovered this movie the other day and I'm absolutely enthralled, Mok's such a terribly fun villain to watch! Was any concept art ever released for him? Would love to see his various costumes and changes throughout production.
To be fair, I've never seen that movie, but I'm ready to do anything for Mok's voice
I don't know what the hell this movie is, or why in the hell it was in my recommendations, but I really wanna see this in full now.
Sara Schmidt its free
Well did you end up seeing it?
Verne, I found out my story professor Kieth Ingham did the visual effects for this scene, so I wanted to give it another look! He told me all about the slit-screening process involved in creating some of the scenes and it was very fascinating. Rock & Rule is a huge inspiration to me as someone working on an experimental animated short film! - Wasan
Nice. He creating the imagery using then state-of-the-art optical visual effects like slit-scans, coloured gels and etc. The actual animation going on here is quite minimal.
I would give everything to see this remade and even more to be able to work on that remake. Love love love the art direction in this movie and feel like it had SO much untapped potential in every way.
