@tubesockets120v typically is hydraulics slow down, it's because something is blocked nit because of paint flacking off. The cylinder could be over heating to make the paint flake off. If it overheating your not getting proper circulation.
The guy with no sleeves is going to get his hand or fingers crushed if he keeps grabbing the butt plate with his left hand while operating the splitter. My wife lost the tip of her pinkie finger on our 40 ton just 2 weeks ago. Trust me when I say keep your left hand off the butt plate and always keep it in view. My wife’s surgeon said her injury was the most minimal damage he has seen from a wood splitter. She was blessed to have only lost the tip. Please be careful
Andy, what an awesome video! Friends helping friends is what its all about! How isnyour back after lifting those rounds? Does your countryline splitter go vertical? Very nice dueling Splitters in the video! Have a great one!
It actually feels pretty good, the splitter does go vertical just hate messing with it. Hopefully in the future we can get more videos like this one, thanks for watching
Have you ever tried noodling the big rounds to save the back? Tried the vertical position on my splitter, doesn't work very well unless you have something to stick under rhe big rounds to level it out in relation to the foot if the splitter in the vertical position.
I noodle logs all the time, just on this one I didn't bring any saws and the rounds weren't big enough that the 2of us couldn't handle them. I hate using the splitter in the vertical position just because I don't have enough hands to do everything.
@@outdoorswithandy732 I’ve got the 35, but it looks like the 40 has a bigger one which might make it better- thanks for the reply, not sure if I want one now
So just an idea... Kinda stole from Daniel Atkins. Why not make a log staircase to roll the big ones up and never have to lift it's full weight? Rolling and flipping is a lot easier than lifting. 3 maybe 4 logs stacked right should be almost perfect log ladder
I've done it before, it works out really well. It's just when I go somewhere like I did I can't take everything with me. But yes your right those do work really well
Awesome video and job on those big rounds Andy just watch your back it got me a few times.
Yep got me to starred to feel it coming that's why we started lifting them together. And thanks for watching
I felt my back blow out several times watching this video.
Can't beat them County line splitters....last forever....
Nice video. Were you helping your folks? Thats getting it done with two splitters. I used one of those 40 ton splitters. They're nice.
Nope long time family friends they've been in a couple others videos that I've done
@@outdoorswithandy732 that was cool.
Thanks
Great video. Ever have the black coating on the tip of the hydraulic cylinder shaft wear off?
Surprisingly no, I have seen that's an issue on some units.
@@outdoorswithandy732 Have you heard the issue reduces hydraulic cylinder function?

I didn't notice that until your said something. Good catch.

Have you got the optional 4 ways yet?
I did try the 4 way on the 25ton and was very disappointed in it.

The biggest issue I had with mine were the side wedges not being long enough
