- Hi! Thanks for visiting my watercolor painting channel. Please give this video a 'like' if you want to see more fast and easy tutorials like this :]
In todays video, I explain my technique for creating very loose watercolor architecture illustrations. This process is a lot easier than it looks. Try to push yourself to complete your illustration because it really comes together towards the end.
FAQ: How do you paint watercolor in procreate?
By combining some special brushes and a watercolor paper texture, we can paint in this watercolor style. All the brushes, textures, and materials are linked below. They all come with video instruction on how to use them, so it's something your can use even if you are totally new to Procreate.

PRINT YOUR ARTWORK:
Here's the printer I use:

I prefer this one because it's just so easy to get amazing colors and rich, textured shading. This printer is not suitable for printing tiny stuff because it's only going to do 150dpi. That's good enough for anything larger than a greeting card.

I’ve been in a real depression for the last 4 years and then the Covid hit and I haven’t felt like doing any art for months. Your videos are helping me get back to art again. Thank you for you instructions. They are well done 👍 thanks.
Your videos are awesome! Procreate hack for the color burn issue: apply splatter as a clipping mask, group the 2 layers, and then flatten the group. This also works for multiply and screen effects.
Really loved the loose aesthetic of this, possibly one of my favourite videos to date. Such a cool idea for Christmas gifts
Love this technique, Calvin! I'm a scribbler... so this basically has opened my scribble world right up! Thanks!

Had a blast with your Mountain range, which btw looked better after setting hue to green, but thats just a personal preference.

Ooo! The random selection and changing the hue is something I've been missing. I've sort of manually been doing that, this will help a lot! Great tip!
it really adds some nice variation☺️ You can also try the same thing but instead of hue shift, try to use guassian blur a little. This adds some random softness that also has an nice effect.
so satisfying ......... thanks for the tips :)

I love your videos and I bought the brushes, I was wondering if it's possible to maybe do a video that takes the same sketch and colours it in traditional watercolour on paper and also on Procreate with your brushes and perhaps go into a bit about techniques and settings to mimic real watercolour on paper. Thought it could be a unique video idea as I haven't seen this on UA-cam yet.
I love this!! Will you do more like this?? (I love all your videos, but this is especially rad.)
Thank you so much ❤️ I made another video like this for you :) it's scheduled to publish in a few hours

Hello calvin! Can you please advice me on which canvas size should i use for high quality A3 ,A4 and A2 prints of procreate illustrations? Also do you recommend a printer and tips where the colors are as vibrant as the digital illustration? Please please answer me 😪
Look in the description. He has the printer he uses linked there. Hope you have some money saved up, it ain't a cheap printer.
What size and dpi is your canvas set to?
Could you share the photo that you used so I can draw over it to practice?
What is the brush you use to color🌟
Hi..love this but I can't seem to download the free scratchy brush set or the Pumpkin set? How can I download?
Thank you so much 🥰
I think those free brushes are hosted on MediaFire - it's possible it was blocked? Can you describe what happened or any error message you saw
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 Hi- when you click your hyper links for both it skips onto your next video..nothing downloads
What canvas size do you use
I'm using a paper texture sized to 4000px by 5000px. This means I can print it pretty large - over 30 inches tall in many cases.
