I came here with my family in 2003. I can’t really remember much as I was 7 at the time but one thing I can remember was the old Manor House, the outdoor swim area and the weather! I can see it’s changed a bit but not a whole heap. The lay out is near enough the same and the chalets are the same. Such a beautiful place. Lovely video.
Thank you. I love seeing comments like this and giving people a look around parks they haven't been to for a while. I'm hoping to visit some of my childhood parks one day and see how they've changed from the photos.

@jpjp5034 we went to Parkdean Camber Sands when it used to be Haven. And Butlins Bognor Regis. That has changed a lot since I used to go there, and I have loved going back 20 years later and seeing all the differences. We started going abroad when I was in my teens, so I'm going to start taking my kids to the same places to follow in my footsteps.

This Park is a shadow of what it used to be. They had a full entertainments team with on site duo band. The place was non stop every day in and out of season.
@@KarionTravelling im going back 20 yrs. we are currently here 3rd night of 3, first visit since 2005. We have been livin` in NZ. Its been refurbished thats ok but its all about pushing the food all day. And the food is rubbish we ate yesterday over an hour then it was wrong and garbage. Shame we should have left it in the past. Just a bit of kids stuff, then bingo and karaoke. bingo, kids club, live show either an act or home production then resident band then disco til midnight. I naively expected the same. Maybe upto covid it was like that. in 2002 i won the weekly pool comp went back for a free caravan in oct for the regionals won that then cayton for the nationals which i lost 2-3 but got 350 quid. plus there were dance singing talent and darts finals as well. that was under just park resorts. Haven did the same. maybe they still do.
I love travelling around the UK, but I would swap a week in Cornwall for a week in NZ in a hot minute. A lot of the parks have changed since covid. Most are trying to recoup the lost monies, and sadly, staff have taken a huge hit. Why employ two people when you can make one person do two jobs.
Do you remember if there was wifi at the park, or good phone signal? A random question but this is my next trip. I recently went to Devon Cliffs where there was none 😬😬
I've no plans to do another live video this week, possibly next time I'm at Butlins. We don't have any trips to Parkdean booked for this year yet, but we often book last-minute trips.
I believe most of the parks have the same entertainment programme all year, so it shouldn't matter when you go. Personally, I prefer the bigger show parks as I like musicals and shows like that, but I know some people prefer a bit of variety and they like smaller parks with visiting acts - they could be singers, magicians, comedians etc. 😊
I haven't been to many independent parks yet, but I'm slowly working my way round. I think with bigger chains you know what you're getting because it's usually part of their brand, but with independents they can be a bit more personal and tailor made.

I would have loved to have seen it back then. It was a nice park, but it felt like it was missing something, especially as it was nearly peak season.

There is WiFi in the main building, but my phone signal was shocking. For some reason, I have fairly poor signal in all the parks.

Can you take your dog in the restaurant?
No, unless it's a service dog. Most people ate outside if they had dogs with them.
