Thank you all for 10k views! This was one of my favorite projects to work on in the past few years. I spent a good day or two mixing the songs together, and then another couple days editing and getting the transitions lined up perfectly. Of course there are things I feel I could have done better, but that just means I can still learn. Perhaps MitiS will have a final part 7 that I can practice with. ;) Never got tired of the songs the whole time, and still coming back to listen often; I had mentioned to someone else previously, but I originally compiled these just for personal use, and it's cool to see so many other people enjoy it as well. Huge thanks to MitiS for giving us such beautiful music to listen to!
Yeah, the way part 1 ends part 2 begins just aren't really compatible without completely remixing them, so I did my best by matching the rhythm and making the melody have some semblance of overall continuity, and then just cross faded them together. Not the most elegant, but I worked with what I had. And for 2-3, Part 2 was actually missing a beat, so I added another one and layered on the cut in from part 3; subtle, but that's the point ;)
Yeah, I'm sure PDP gave MitiS a lot of publicity. PDP has always been kind of a memer in this regard, but he has genuinely good tastes in music. Surprisingly, I actually first discovered MitiS from a (formerly) obscure music visualizer demo I stumbled upon while searching up some visualizers for personal use.
