That was either a dream or a hallucination. It wasn’t your dead father and I think you know it.
How would she know that someone saw the son? the goosebumps it was instant, the casual wear? that's not something you can guess
But that's just what she does. She never states anything specific as fact. She asks questions, and then can pivot based on the answer.
She asks... "Did you think you saw your son...?"
The answer is really no, but the victims are so eager to communicate that they make the leap for Caputo: "My mom did, she called me..." (Does the son not know the difference between mom and granny?)
Then: "Did you bury him in casual clothes?" (Not at all unusual for people who die young, by the way...)
But if they had answered "no, he was in a tuxedo," she could just say, "He's so glad that you dressed him up. Did he love to dress up?" and can just roll from there.
Maybe she's for real, but I'd be much more likely to believe her if she'd just stated facts instead of fishing. "Did he have a girlfriend?" (Oh, it's you!) "He's down on his knee..." So transparent.
I also wouldn't be surprised if her assistants and producers scanned social media for people who tagged themselves at the studio that morning, or who used the hashtags of Viera's show on Instagram. With an audience that size, it wouldn't be hard to find someone with lax privacy settings who copes with their fresh grief by posting about it to social media.
(And the mom is so emotional, and she thinks she's talking to her dead son. OF COURSE she's getting goosebumps.)

This is crap, cold reading. She is a vulture feeding off of people's loss and suffering. What is cold reading? Basically, it's 1. making a general statement, then watching for a reaction. 2. Listening to the info the person gives, and acting like they got that info "from spirit".
This is not heartfelt nor heartwarming, how HEARTBREAKING.

The doesn't make it right to lie to someone - tell them their loved one is saying things they're not. If these people did care about helping people, they'd do it for free but they instead charge hundreds of dollars for a session. They're manipulating valunerable people for money.

Because that's the point of UA-cam, so that more than one side of the argument can be heard. Remember, some people aren't sure whether they believe this stuff, so it's important that skeptics speak up as well as believers, otherwise it's just indoctrination. Personally, I watch for two reasons - firstly to see IF it's real. I would love it if someone was truly psychic and could just TELL us stuff without having to ASK lots of questions and GUESS. When I see that the 'psychic' is just cold-reading people, I comment about that. Secondly, I find these liars so disgusting that I comment in order to show my distaste. I find it offensive that people make money exploiting the grief of others. If someone posted a video that was offensive to you - maybe something racist - then you might watch so that you could object to it. It's the principle of Free Speech and that's a good thing.

I used to think people like this were just taking advantage of grieving people. However I have a relative who found great comfort in seeing a psychic after a loss of a spouse of over 50 years. So long as they're not spending an exhorbitant amount of money on such a service I think that if people find peace in it then let them find peace in it. I wish I wasn't a skeptic sometimes because it is much harder to find solace lol

Theresa has such a good way of giving such tearjerking news and then making a joke to make sure the memories people keep are positive. Whether people believe in what she’s doing is actually talking to dead people, she is helping people through some of the hardest times in their lives and that is a gift no matter the wrapping. 💖
Any person who lost a father, mother, pet, sibling, close friend, lover, wife or husband whom they loved dearly need no proof that this real. Those of us, who lost someone we loved, know that our bond is eternal and they are with us even though we never talk about it to anyone.

Casual clothes, dove bracelet, blow to the back of the head, appeared in a hallway, the tree and adding to it, I'd have been blown out of my chair if she shared where the phone is located! Could be many ways. If the audience had to make a booking to attend the event she can get access to a list of every person that is coming. This means that she can look up information of those who are going to attend until she finds enough she can use. Facebook for example is a very good source for finding out all kinds of details.
Furthermore, if the audience have been speaking to each other before she could have listened to what was being said, and this gives her even more information.
Combining information gathering with cold reading you can find out pretty much anything.
You see... it doesn't matter if it's fake or real. As long she brings comfort and closure to someone's life and help them get over their grief.
It does matter because it underpins an industry of charlatans who are taking advantage of grieving people. There is no licence to be a 'psychic', no regulation, nothing. And yet they are allowed to charge a lot of money to SELL the comfort and closure you mentioned. Remember, every time Caputo does a tv show she gets PAID, promotes her business (I think it's currently $800 for a reading) and sells her books/events. She's not doing this out of kindness - it's a business. And a fraudulent one, which supports the claims of other so-called 'psychics' who defraud people and make a LOT of money. I wouldn't know how I'd take this but believe me I'm certain I would cry my heart out. Lost both my parents at a young age. Father when I was 5 and mother when I was 12.
I’m very skeptic about these things, but something that she does and I admire and respect about her is that she gives people closure, and that’s a beautiful thing to do for someone

Sometimes Theresa is off but there's NO way that section with the boy that took his life could be fraudulent or rehearsed, and nothing she said was generic. I would say she has some form of a gift but nowhere near as strong as Matt Fraser for example but she still knows how the game is played and she gets a hit, she gets a HIT. Like the boy for example.

She claimed that they don't because the way she uses her "gift" is only to help someone for the healing process. My heart is so heavy right now, I lost two friends Monday in the Texas a&m shooting. One of the sisters left behind her son. Her ex shot and killed both of them + also shot the baby but he’s still alive. He was left alone with his dead mother and aunt until they found them.
