I have a WPL-C24, and my motor locked up and would no longer spin. I took apart the stock RTR steering box and used the motor from there in my gearbox and the truck runs great. Running 2S lipo and Banggood 20amp esc. Stock RTR steering motor saves the day!

That's cool! Its to bad you can't plug a steering servo in the original board, i don't mind that its slow but would want to give it proper proportional steering.

Raising the nose on the rear diff solves the rear wheel hop on smooth, high traction surfaces. Also extends tailshaft / driveshaft life.

hello, nice job when you replace the motor take the time to do a cut out on the hood and install window screen like a vent and you will get better sound from the speaker box!
That + a pn racing 43t motor should give it a bit more speed & torque. They are 130 sized.
Could also buy a can with neomagnets in it & then put in the stock rotor it comes with for a bit more torque & less rpm then what you get atm.
Awesome -- might need to find both vehicles to do the same mod.

these trucks are nice and cheap esc and 9g servos works great with it. Why would you hack up a $170 crawler to fit in this truck. would it not just be better to swap the body over onto the crawler chassis?
+André Meyer don't use the crawler and I thought it would be fun. I can always put back :) I kept the hacking to a minimum, haha

My WPL B-24 arrived today. Can't believe how loud the steering is. My cat runs away! Any possible way you could make a complete list, including the radio, of all the parts necessary to do exactly what you did? It's awesome! And yeah, if you have any ideas about upgrading the drive shafts, I'm all ears. Thanks for the great video!

oh i looked it up the parts are stock from the doner car so to get them u have to buy the other car wich is a partner racing 1/18 rc rock crawler

I was keen to do your upgrades but having seen the price of the "donor" vehicle.. I changed my mind...Given the fact that in the listing there are NO spare parts..including the sound module..

Well done! Fits really well. My DIY Open Source "Micro RC" system would also work fine to drive this size of motor: ua-cam.com/video/-vbmHhCvspg/v-deo.html
It can also drive headlights, indicators, taillights, brake lights, motor sound units etc. But of course a little bit of soldering is required. In the meantime it even has an electronic stability control.

The boards can easily be ordered per drag and drop on www.oshpark.com But you have to assemble and solder the components by yourself.
