I know this is an older video, but there is a specific Spoon shift knob for the FL5 with a wider base, I use it on my FL1 and it covers the OEM shift boot collar much better.
I went jdm for my Sport Touring shift knob, which 10:37 is the 10th gen Si flared bottom knob. I thought the existing boot collar might work, but no, and I could find just the Si/R OEM plastic collar. Got the Acuity collar on order. Also have the gloss door pillar trims coming, which the E-HEV top trim also has. I haven’t seen any tutorials about how to get those pillar trims off safely on the 11th gen.

Future video coming up on this shift knob !
you got the wrong knob. they make a fk8 fl5 specific knob that is big enough for the boot.

I think rotate the red stitching to the 3 and 9 o'clock position than push the boot down
how much horsepower did mirror add? did you have to get it retuned after install?
Ended up the boot light is the most practical “mod” in this video. 😅🙊
do you think it can fit in the 11th gen Si?
Why are take off the spoon springs on fl5 ???
They kinda make it hard just to change the knob and boot on our cars
Install was entirely confirmed. Please complete a the when to shift @rpm meter
Cool video NOT you donr even show the actual process to anything. Keep cutting lol
