I will recommend one book in Hindi by Colonel Kesari Singh. Name of the book is "Ek Shikari Hazaro Sher".
Colonel Kesari claims to have killed around 1000 tigers. Most of them were wounded by immature hunters from erstwhile royals. I have read it around 45 years back. Please try if it is still available.
