Hi Annie, well you tried! I bought something similar off Amazon, but I made my hair slightly damp. The front and sides turned out ok, but the back looked horrible 😂. And it was so much work! I definitely didn’t try to sleep with it in.

You are so funny! Reminded me of Pippi Longstocking there for a minute. I bought a set of foam curlers at the thrift store a few years ago, but when I washed them, blue dye came out. I've always been afraid to try them because I didn't want blue hair! The things we go through---I just never can understand why a man would want to be a woman. It is so much work!
I’m thinking that you can do a way better job with the curling iron or MAYBE it’s a 2 person endeavor??

I think maybe they need to make a thinner one for shorter hair. I watch Lydia and Trace Bates on UA-cam and she uses one of these on her very long hair. It gives her nice curls. Also, most things are awkward the first time someone uses them. Good try. You are so encouraging!

I’m disqualified from expressing an opinion…I have naturally ringlet curly hair. Of course, I was teased in high school in the 70’s because girls liked stick straight hair. I survived and now get compliments all the time on how cute my hair is. Darrell’s contraption, looks hard to use. 🤷🏼♀️
Your comment reminded me of a time back in 60’s. I married in 63’, and had a sister 5 years younger than me. She was still in high school & used to come to mine & my husband’s house , sometimes before, sometimes after. And one day I had been gone & her & her girlfriend came by to see me. I guess they got bored or something, anyway when I walked in they had my ironing board up & was ironing each other’s hair. Of course I was shocked, never saw that before or even heard about it. But that was the way they got their hair really straight back then 😂 at least those two 😊✝️❤️🇺🇸
@@rowenalambertson7186 my husbands aunt used to do that too!! She graduated from high school in 1969 so maybe it was common. The other thing she did was to roll her hair on orange juice cans.
