Honestly I’d prefer it if MGA would release fashion and accessory packs for the dolls. I’m not really down to buy such an expensive play set when all I want is more stylish and well made clothes for the dolls I love.
I kinda hate how they’re winning with the strategy of releasing dolls with a change of clothing, so that consumers like me who love to dress dolls up in many outfits, wind up having to collect the series in order to have a good assortment of clothes to mix and match with. This is kind of the only thing that Barbie outshines Rainbow High in, which is sad, because I’ve fallen out of love with the lack of love put into the fashions for Barbie to wear.
I wish they wouldn't put that "RH" on everything, but otherwise this fashion closet looks amazing. I might have to get one. They could do some nice-looking earrings without the big tacky letters and they'd look great.
Omg! Me too I’m so sick of seeing “rainbow high” and “sparkle” on EVERYTHING I get it’s a high fashion look but sometimes you just want more basic pieces!
Meh, as long as its not INSANELY tacky like I know some pieces can be, im totaly fine with it as long as the QUALITY stays. I mean, the writing everywhere IS their gimmick, so....🤷♀️
What scares me is the “I don’t care if it’s 60 dollars it’s rainbow high I need it.” Moments because I have them too and I don’t want me or others to normalize rainbow high overpricing things due to popularity but I can’t talk because I do just that
I’m not sure they are overpricing because of the brand name, or if this is related to inflation due to Covid issues such as a labour shortage and the shipping container crisis. Everything is going up, and it is going to last quite awhile, even if another variant doesn’t set us back again. I also play hobby board games, and they are talking about a 15% price increase. Still, it means I’m buying less because no one’s wages are going up 15%.

I feel it’s a mix of both right now mostly inflation due to the way the world is
Once that’s settled mga seeing where willing to buy products for said price still allows them to price it that way because part of consumer goods is giving something a price propel will pay, and only lowering it when people won’t pay said price.
But I can’t be talking as complaining over the price of fabric and plastic I don’t need to live snd still buy for said price is called privilege at that point.
These are currently 30 dollars in Walmart. I bought 3 for my nieces along with the dolls.
It's wild to read this comment now that a lot of more expensive dolls are coming out and people don't seem to care that much about it. Like people was complaining a lot about Jett been $57 and now it seems $50 is common for newer dolls.

i want to see fashion packs from rainbow high, since i tend to not love all the pieces in the closet playsets so i can’t really justify the price :P but i would absolutely buy fashion packs for my favorite dolls!

rainbow high should defffffinetely make fashion and accessory packs !! i think it would be cooler if they did this because it would cost much less to just buy one or two outfits, plus you could pick what you want more specifically

I love this case! As an adult toy collector I like you mentioned the concern of parents not getting this for their kids with some of the higher price points coming out with Rainbow high. When I’ve been checking out new dolls in the toy isles I have been surprised with a lot of kids and parents flocking to the Rainbow High section more and more and that’s really cool. The more interest, the more cool products we will get for this line.
I had to wait my turn when I went to shop for them at Target. Lots of excited girls and their mons. I also noticed that Rainbow High has a lot more shelf space than Barbie. I love Barbie but Mattel needs to look at this company and take notes.
the price point is too high given that avery and her fashion closet was $50 and that collector doll jett is $58 USD. without a doll, this should be $45 at most. the clear plastic of it all isn't attractive to me either
I agree it's so expensive, but the Avery doll was so cheap though. I thought I was going to love her esp w her pixie cut, but she was one of the worst quality dolls I've ever seen
I think they replaced a doll with indeed, the plastic of the closet itself. So I personnaly think the price evens out a bit.🙂 now I admit tho, it wouldnt of been much more plastic to add maybe at least one more pair of earings......🤷♀️

I'm still on the fence about this closet. They should've included a doll, given the price of this thing. There's not enough clothes in there to justify the purchase.
If they did add a doll i feel like one of the other A's would've been perfect. I think the set with the clothing rack is the only one with one of them?

I like it. It looks unique and I love that we get a piece of furniture. The clothes are just alright. I'm not totally sold on it, especially being outside the US where this stuff costs even more. I think I will wait for a sale.
I didn’t understand the price point on this in comparison to Avery who came with 2 wigs and clothes & shoes wasn’t that only $50? I know we get more shoes and 1 purse and 1 pair of earrings but I definitely need a sale since I really just want the contents the case and plastic chair aren’t necessary for me cause of space issues. 👍👍👍 yes I wish the clothes was more tops, skirts, pants and dresses I'm not super into jackets to be honest. I love the shoes. I also would love more purses and jewelry.
Wasn't Avery released before the pandemic? That would probably explain a lot.
@@freyja6360 yes prices just seem very high like the RH car is $50 I saw a shelf tag for the Na Na Na camper at Walmart said $94 but I thought at Sweet Suite Toy Fair that I heard $74.99 🤷🏻♀️. I’m just being honest that I can’t justify spending $59.99 on this fashion closet I also didn’t preorder Jett because I don’t think she’s worth $57.99. But these are just my own personal opinions.
Yeahhh, that's what I was thinking too. I guess you get a whole case/vanity playset instead of just a clothing rack and 3 display boxes so that might be more costly to produce.

So happy that your jade hoodie actually says rainbow cause the one in the closet I got says raibow cause the N was sewn inside the middle. Also the pants for skyler wouldn’t Velcro in the back once I put them on skyler.
I love this trunk . I’m so gonna get one ! But for 60 dollars I do think there should be more accessory like 2 more pairs of earrings and wish they would do fashion packs .
Omg I love your reviews. I purchased two of these closets with all the clothes we are getting, I will get a lot of use out of both. BTW, I have to say you are so pretty and great personality and I think you can totally be Gwen Stefani’s twin. No Doubt!
Basically paying for the Case which is good for storage yes but I think I’m gona wait til it goes on sale for sure
I hope that they make a set of clothes based on the secondary character colors (ie wave 2 and wave 3 colors). And fashion packs too.
I don't even own a Rainbow High doll but I'd love to have this set. I just adore the whole case/closet combo and everything it comes with. I don't want to know how expensive it will be over here though xD
Clothing can fit barbies and hasbro disney and mlp dolls. Some of the shoes fits the hasbro Disney dolls too. So l guess it's worth a shot if you want to get it for other dolls.
@@catherinej615 Out of all of those dolls I only have a couple of Barbies and I don't really need clothes for them. Either way, I just know it'll be too expensive for me, as that is also the main reason I don't own any of the dolls yet. Thanks for the tips though!

I personally will be waiting for a sale but this is a great set and very nice to see a doll line do extra clothing! Sadly the OMG dolls don’t which makes sense with their branding.

I love the green hoodie the detail at the hem and on Avery with the pink hair it pops. I would definitely want to see more jewelry and purses. This was worth getting for me and I got with $10 off with target circle offer on toys.

Being in the UK it's £68 on amazon but if I compare it to the £70 Barbie extra dressing table then it's definitely worth it. Love your hair and eyeshadow btw and that you mentioned H3/Families ❤️

Okayyy so FIRST OF ALLL love your hair. Fav look yet. And second of all, really excited about this case but I’m just going to hint at my boyfriend to get it for me for our anniversary or for Christmas 😂 (if you see this bb hi this is your hint 💖) Totally agree, some of the pieces seem like they were thrown in and we’ve seen them before. Wish with the price point they really made a point to put must have unique pieces inside. Super super cute though a must have.

I love the fashion closet but I feel like for younger kids like like six or seven year old kids it's not good for them because I think that they're going to lose all the pieces and I think some parents wouldn't buy it
Just bought this wonderful closet. Didn't even know about these dolls until I was browsing in Target and caught sight of the closet...how beautuful it is! So now I am a Rainbow Doll Collector! Thanks for the info on the Vercase connection on the lock. These dolls are very detailed at great prices...lots of accessories and great outfits. What fun!

Thanks for the vid I saw this in target today and all I could think was that’s NOT worth $60! But that case alone would be $15-20 and the knit pieces look quality. I like that this set looks less like ‘’ repeats” from the Avery set. I love the dress the rainbow pants and jackets. But $60 still seems a bit much but after seeing the piece I feel better about it. I feel like averys set had more pieces. I also like seeing fewer crop top pieces. I’m an adult collector but I feel so bad for parents, they’d have to take the hands off to change the clothes. I hope arm holes are a little bigger in the future to fix it.
I really like it but I am going to wait for a sale, I like most of the outfits & shoes I just wish it wasn't so core doll specific,obvoiusly the dress and butterfly heels are Poppy's,the sparkle overalls are for Ruby ect. I wish it was geared towards the other dolls as well like Stella or Krystal but I guess Avery's closet kinda did that. I also wish for $60 the paper products had been real.

Definitely on my wishlist. You found these in my area of Florida so I'm gonna hope they have more. I do plan on getting the 6 pack as i didn't get the first wave of dolls. I wish i could afford more than that though as i want them all

I think it's worth it personally but i do think they should release individual fashion packs.
you're getting a closet & chair with basically a $7-$10 outfit per doll.
with that being said, I'd rather put that money towards dolls

I just purchased this RH Closet Trunk this week for $41.27 on Amazon. As an Adult doll collector the price point was great! I had already purchased the Fashion Closet that came with the Avery doll and clothing rack first and I loved that it came with a doll, wigs and clothing. So finding the RH Closet Trunk at such a great price was fantastic. It would be great if a doll was included. I’m glad you opened up the trunk and display everything. Thanks for sharing!

I absolutely love the fact that they based this stuff of of luxury brands because it makes it look especially expensive. The clothes quality looks sooo good. I need to start collecting rainbow high again. Also I am living for this hair and makeup on you!!
This case is $90.00 in canada. I do like some of the pieces inside. Just not enough to spend $90.00 on. I don't think it's worth that. I'm just going to wait until it's on sale.

I just bought this closet on sale for $40 on Amazon. I’m so excited! The clothes in this set look so cute. I LOVE the jeans with the rainbow ribbon and stitching. 😍 I wonder if they will ever give them separate clothes and jewelry packs or accessories packs, they need necklaces and more purses and playsets. I would buy it! Lol Would be cute and cool for display and photography. Also, I love H3 and gotta love Dona! Lol
I love this case when I first saw it. I waited because the price was too high but of course missed out😢. I just purchased off eBay and I am so happy with it. I have several doll cases vintage to new and this is my fave!

I hear and completely relate to a lot of the price concerns for toys. I’m assuming it’s definitely difficult for production right now due to the pandemic. It’s also good to keep in mind that toys are very much a luxury item. I think we forget that sometimes and take it for granted. Not to mention all the work that goes into these toys. If we like this quality it is going to have a price tag that covers not only someone hand sewing a lot of these garments but designing, material costs, shipping, and so on. It takes a lot of man hours, skill, and resources to put toys together so I understand the pricing. Another thing to remember is the quality we are getting from Rainbow High right now is eons above what we have seen from doll lines in recent years. So the price tag will reflect that quality difference.

If you get scuffs and scratches on your closet you can use a product called “flitz polish” to buff them out using a microfiber cloth.

I bought a RH stationary and we used the stickers to Dec out the whole case me being 33 and my daughter being 5 we love this!!!
I’ve always wished they would let us buy something like this but customize it. Like going shopping. Get to pick your outfits shoes bags coats…

We’re going to have to adjust our expectations of what we get for a certain price. Covid-related factors, including a shipping container crisis, have caused inflation. I also play hobby board games, and some are forecasting a 15% price increase in that area. Some smaller companies are getting killed by shipping costs (have gone up more than 5x for some things). That said, I do have Avery’s pack, and I don’t change outfits much, so I’m good without this case. I won’t be spending more as the prices go up, so I will just be buying fewer dolls.

I just bought my Rainbow High Fashion Closet tonight and in my opinion it is deluxe! I was looking for a modern doll closet and it fits the bill. As for the $59.99 price, I bought home products from Target and received a $15 gift card as a promotion which I applied to this doll case. So I ended up paying only $45 which is worth it. Acrylic storage products are usually pricey and now I don’t have to mod something to make an awesome closet.

@@jennifersheehan1866 It's actually not just conversion. Canadians pay an extra 5-10$ on top of the conversion rate for rainbow high products. It can actually be cheaper to import one from the US if they're on sale, even with conversion and shipping costs.

I was lucky with my closet, I managed to get it for $34.99! I saw it at Best Buy for that price, but they had sold out, so I decided to go to Target, I found one there for the $60 price, so, when I was checking out, I asked if they would price match it to Best Buy’s price and they did! 😁😁😁
My favorite shoes in this were definitely the purple sneakers, I am gonna so use those for Emi. 😁my favorite clothing items are definitely the black jeans with rainbow ribbons, and Poppy’s sweater dress.
I love my trunk. I need a few more for all the outfits and shoes that come with the dolls.

I left my tag on mine. The only problem I seen was that at the door hinges, the base of one the inserts chipped off I guess when making it, and it let to a crack the bottom. I'm assumed it's from transit damage too but I ordered it thru drive up from an hour away so I will live with it. Even buying it full price and loving it, if possible, wait for any price if it is not %100 want. If you have hesitations, wait till its on sale. But only know that it may be harder to find and we don't know how many have been made with distribution. Its

Hey MGAE, ...guess what??? Braids are beautiful on dolls. Dreads are beautiful on dolls. Corn rolls are beautiful on dolls. Very dark skin is beautiful on dolls. True Asian eyes and skin color is beautiful on dolls. Different body types is beautiful on dolls. Representing the physically challenged is cool and beautiful on dolls. LBGTQ+ representation is beautiful for dolls. Real diversity in upper management is beautiful as well. Z
