      Even if you are not changing it yourself, at least now you have the knowledge and won't get scam by the workshop.

    Hi, did you manage to find out the torque specs for the bolts?

    Saw your video, really like your video, so decided to do it myself. The only one nut I'm facing problem is the one below on the battery side. The bottom nut is so hard to unscrew. How you manage to take it off so easily?

    • @TCsAnythingGoes
      @TCsAnythingGoes  2 роки тому +1

      i can't really remember since its been awhile but looking at it..... i probably took the bottom bolt out from under the car using a long extension and a long bar for leverage.

    what is that aluminium thing at the beginning of video for ?

      his rubber stop is broken so diy a stopper.

    • @TCsAnythingGoes
      @TCsAnythingGoes  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, its actually a firm sponge that has aluminium backing. Without it, the bonnet vibrates and makes an annoying squeaky noise

      Hey bro, planning to buy one set engine mounting, how to know genuine product from shopee?
      Plus some seller selling the mouting right side without the top metal thing that attached tgt with mounting in your video.

    Where to get the mounts?

    • @TCsAnythingGoes
      @TCsAnythingGoes  2 роки тому

      I got it off Shopee. The original link no longer works but just search for OEM Myvi engine mount. Don't choose the cheapest. Go somewhere in between unless you want to splurge on original mounts.

    Thanks bro, thanks for sharing this : ) hopefully I can change mine soon. Can’t tahan the vibrate sound anymore XD
    I did notice you use the jack to support the engine, what do you recommend if anyone is without the jack? And may I know what is the tools you are using? So that I can just buy what is needed, or just buy a set of wrench.
    Anyway, the kiddo so cute!!
    Again, thanks!

      you can use the scissor jack that comes with the car to lift the engine a bit when bolting the new mount in. Not necessary to have a hydraulic jack. Go to Mr.DIY and get a set of ratchet socket wrench. Should come in size of 10mm till 24mm, that is very useful for both car DIY and home DIY. And a rubber mallet is helpful as well to loosen very tight bolts.

    Hey bro, what brand did you used? I can see the extra support at the rear mounting (the bone shape one). Which brand would you recommend?

    • @TCsAnythingGoes
      @TCsAnythingGoes  4 роки тому +2

      There was no brand stated by the seller but he claims it is Original Perodua. Link below. So far so good, no issues with it.

    hi, may I know how to differentiate original and not original engine mounting? I changed my engine mounting in Feb2022(rm300+) and the vibration still persists. So,I went to another workshop and they claim my engine mounting wasn't original. And, they changed it again today,engine mounting plus gearbox mounting (rm700) barely 5 months into use..

    • @TCsAnythingGoes
      @TCsAnythingGoes  2 роки тому +1

      Did the 2nd set of mount solve your problem? If they don't then your 2nd workshop most likely slaughtered your wallet.
      Okay, any quality of mounts also should not fail immediately after installation. Even the cheapest of all mounts should last you AT LEAST a year. If vibration still persists then its most likely the 1st workshop didn't do a good job installing the mounts (incorrect installation or wrong torque applied during installation)
      How to differentiate original and non original..... this is highly subjective and most of the time you will need both next to each other to determine which feels and looks superior than the other.
