Interesting thing I’ve noticed is at my lgs’s the two sets with the least inventory of booster boxes is Paldea and Obsidian. Hear lots of shade on Obsidian but in talking with shop owners the boxes seem to sell well. Even on TCG Player the price is higher than other sets that have been judged as “better”….just something I noticed…

Personally, for me, every SV set released thus far, will go to 200-300 as they go out of print and get scarcer to find.
I don't actually think any of these will go that high anymore. The pokemon company is doing a GREAT job with the control of their products.
The only set released so far that I think has a chance to sneak a little higher so far (pack for pack) is the scarlet and violet 151.
What you said at the start might be the best advice: If you double your money already, it's great!

I pretty much agree with your set ranking order, however I disagree with the prices in 3-5 years. Here is what I think:
Twilight, Paldea, and temporal will all be under $300
Stellar, paradox, obsidian, and base set will all be under $200 in that time frame.
I dont think any sets so far can compare to Evo Skies.

I find a lot of the sets we have seen thus far in S&V is not as good as SW&SH. If it’s been 3-5 years for most of the sets of SW&SH and most are not over $300. I find these sets hard to past that mark.
So, what box would you think would be best to get that has good card resell, currently?
I think the dragon set and the Team Rocket set will dictate the runs for TM and PE. If the new sets are great, I think TM&PE pull back a little more - if new sets bomb, TM&PE surge.
Pull rates r shit though especially TM so it may hold and slowly rise
Did you think sword and shield base would brake 350 dollars as I think scarlet n violet is a really good base set with alt rares ??

LOVE SV era WILL not find a single time i shat on SV era love everything about it so many artworks and chase cards. only downsize for early sets is you can get like 2 SAR's per box, but if pokemon company plans to reprint i believe they will change the hit rates to what we have now with TempF and TiwLgt imagine a premium on first wave SV sets??? ohh boy hehehe. PE goated set but i dont see it 500+ maybe 250-300ish because the hits have to outprice the box value. I think Stellar Crown is a sleeper set because of the gorgeous rainbow SAR/Lacey.

@@macariusfreestyle8521 popularity is what makes evo skies good. 99,95% of the people love 151 and it's flying of the shelves. So that's why 151 is gonna be one of the best sets from scarlet and violet.
