Bike is a 2006 Yamaha R1 (not mine) brothers when he was out in Afghan, just installed the exhaust for him and was the first time actually taking it out.

This is how to do a video on an exhaust. Not just fit them, then just start the bike and keep revving it up. This is how to get the real sound from the exhaust ''under load''.

Only problem with loud exhausts is that if you rev it up, cops will hear you coming from miles away. And some tracks have noise limits. :(

Nice bike. I love the sound and looks of the toce exhaust but I was told by quite a few people the performance of the bike isn't the same since you're pretty much running straight pipe. What's your opinion?
All these people commenting "too much bike for you, etc." CLEARLY did not read the description. He did the install for his brother and this is the FIRST TIME he ever rode the bike. Man, such foolishness. Those pipes sound amazing on there MY GAHD. And am I literally the only one who watched the whole vid and forgot about the kid? It's easy to ignore. I know this video is old but i wanted to say cudos to this guy for not dying on that blip lol liter bikes are no joke for sure. I definitely wouldnt take my brothers 1000 out if i have never owned one myself though, my 600 cruiser has only 75hp and it will rip the tire loose in a curve on a sharp blip gravel or no gravel, i think a r1 has like 200ish hp which is pretty freakin crazy but sounds like a blast to ride with a lot of throttle control. I want to get good at street riding(i just switched over from dirt bikes) and get an h2 or ninja 1000.
I bend, swage, expand, and trim all the pipes from the headers back to the cans at my job. All pipes made from aerospace grade seamless stainless steel tubing and mandrel bent to strict aerospace tolerances. We mainly make aerospace products for Pratt n Whitney, Boeing, and Rolls Royce.

It is the 2006 anniversary model but I have recently bought a BMW s1000rr & fitted an austin race exhaust so wont be getting Toce exhausts for it now.

I have had the lovely experience of going down at highway speeds personally. I had full textile gear on with alpinestars boots and still suffered pretty good road rash. Imagine w/o gear?

Truth. In MT you do not even have to pay for insurance if you own the bike not bank. You can drive without it and without a helmet or any gear if you want to.

I'm glad I'm retorting with a level headed dude and not a gear nazi troll. Because on a bike, you don't have a cage with crumple zones, air bags, and seat belts, I find that wearing a helmet would be the closest thing to those thing mentioned. Also agree with the bugs, some of those feel like getting hit with a B.B. gun!

The whole point of the publisher's video is to show the difference between stock and Toce exhaust. Not about whether he should wear a helmet or not. It's common sense. Traffic in the neighborhood is obviously nonexistent and the rider isn't driving extremely fast so the risk of crashing is unlikely. As far as opinion is concerned, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But some aren't respectful when it comes to giving their opinion. They intend to be offensive when putting in their 2 cents.
I'm well aware of that, and that was the only reason I watched the clip, and it's lovely!
I agree with the risk being quite small aswell, though it's still there, and the outcome can be just as bad. Comes down to pure luck.

Same, low side, even with jeans, ended up getting road rash. But reality is, most of the time when commuting, the personal choice will be the end decision. Hard spirited riding, track riding, that's a definite ATGATT for me. Going for a little ride to get something to eat, not so ATGATT. It just boils down to the situation and the level of risk vs reward. Peace.

Verry nice car, i have a "04 black one myself. Buzzy putting in a 4.0L V8 from a crashed "08 E92 M3. My dailly is a "07 E60 530i. Most people that own a M3 are BMW freaks so, one love right:P
