Aw thank you! That's a huge reason I make them. I realize we are super lucky do be doing all this travel so I like to make it feel like I'm taking others along with us on the adventure :) I hope I'm doing it justice!
Totally agree! I’ve been very lucky to travel a fair bit, but I’m currently pregnant so won’t be traveling for a while! It’s so nice to get to follow along your adventures!!
I am so excited for the both of you! I try to travel as much as I can, but I’m in grad school so I live vicariously through you & your videos. I’ve always considered moving to a new country so I find all the logistics super interesting! 😊😊
haha wow grad school! Good for you!!! I also find the logistics very interesting. That's part of the reason I share it all :) I watch plenty of moving abroad videos and even though I've done it myself several times, it's still very interesting to see how others go about it.
Welcome to the Netherlands! I'm from Alberta and moved here 9 years ago, I live it here, although i do miss Canada and go back to visit my family every year 😊
What did you do with your stuff ¿ I wanna move to Canada from Germany in 6 month , but I am nervous how can deal with my clothes ... shoes some kitchen stuff , I know it’s maybe stupid but can’t remove all of them😭
Did you guys leave stuff at your moms like you did all the other times you’d move? Also wow!! How amazing!!! I’m shocked when i saw Amsterdam!! I literally thought London for sure☺️☺️
Oh Andrea how exciting!! I must add I got choked up when you were getting ready to go & Chico laying on your bed the suitcase was open & his little eyes looking into the suitcase. I wonder if she sensed you were leaving , then you leaving your Mom. Maybe you & Ken will be getting a bike since they do a lto of bike riding in Amsterdam ! Have a lovely weekend ( Judy )
This is such an amazing video, my boyfriend is from the Netherlands so I might move there one day!! Looking forward to watching more of your videos, what editing software do you use?
From what I've researched, I can't nurse here - I have to speak fluent dutch which I cannot haha but hopefully one day down the road I'll get back to it - I really loved my job :)
@@AndreaClare Hey Andrea, While it is true that you would have to speak Dutch. There is a huge shortage in nurses at the moment! They even have to temporarily close some hospital wards and ER's because of the shortage. You can probably find an employer to help with the Dutch language course and extra training if needed. Especially since they are hiring hundreds of nurses from Spain, Italy Poland ect. I.m sure there is a way! I'm 35 (and Dutch) and just started nursing school and my employer is paying for it :). Here is some more info: english.bigregister.nl
I have both but the one with the pink tag at the top ( which I think was shown in this video) was the large - it's huge! very easy to go over weight. I didn't have my stuffed and it was at max weight. Love the away bags though :)
Congrats to you both on the move! Long term moves away from 'home' and family, while exciting, are always hard. My boyfriend and I are in the midst of a cross Canada relocation - we've been expecting it for a while, but no matter, moves are inevitably a lot of change at once. Hope you guys settle in nicely, nice to know other young couples are doing it too :)
Saw the destination on Instagram and loved it! Hope you guys find the best place for you and I can't wait to see it. Amsterdam is on our list of cities to visit, too. So any tips and tricks will help. I really am excited for you. 😊😘🥂
Aw thank you! We are so excited to be here - couldn't have worked out any better :) I can't wait to share the apartment we end up in too! ahhh I hope we get it!
@@AndreaClare I just read about a must see in Amsterdam: the open market at Noorderkerk. Only open on Saturdays and Monday, I think. Thought you might like it :)
Not at all :) He was offered a great job here so we went for it! We don't have kids/pets yet so we figure we should go for it now while we can easily :)
I knew it! As soon as you said no cars. Oh Andrea, what a bittersweet moment to leave your family. We know it all too well. But you are going to fall in love with the Netherlands all over again every single day. We’ve been here a year and not a day goes by that I’m not in awe of the beauty in this country. We live outside of Amsterdam and the countryside is breath taking. Excited for you guys to get bikes and get moving! My husband goes into Amsterdam every Monday for work, so maybe we’ll bump into each other some time. If you ever have any questions about stuff here, feel free to reach out. @wightmodern on IG. Congratulations!!
@@AndreaClare you guys should check out the company Swapfiets for your bike! it's a monthly subscription for a bike and if it breaks they'll either come to wherever you are and fix it or pick it up and give you a new bike right away, it's really nice!
I'm a person who doesn't travel a lot but your vids make me feel like I'm traveling all over the world. Thanks for your vids❤️

I think you will have the best time at Amsterdam! Waiting for new videos! Good luck!
Thank you!!
I am Dutch myself (although a proud resident of Rotterdam) and just bumped into your channel. Curious to see how you will like your stay. Good luck!
My cousin spent 2 years there and just retuned to France. She loved it!

Thank you! I've heard that happens a lot here! People come for a year but never leave haha!
Totally one of my favourite cities!! Enjoy!
Mine too - it's beautiful!
Andrea Clare The Jordana is my favourite neighbourhood. 💗

I did not think of Amsterdam at all, but how awesome! 😄 It‘s such a beautiful place! I wish you a great time!
Greetings from Germany
haha most people didn't! Hardly any people guessed it! Thank you! and HELLO to Germany! :)
So cool! Congrats 🎉! Can you tell us more about hubby’s work? I would love to have a job that gets me traveling around the world.
He prefers I don't talk about it much but it was a career change that brought us here - not a current job with a relocation :)
Really nice vlog. So excited to see more!
Did you guys leave stuff at your moms like you did all the other times you’d move?
Also wow!! How amazing!!! I’m shocked when i saw Amsterdam!! I literally thought London for sure☺️☺️
We did leave some stuff there but not much - if we had anymore (or if it bothered my mom) we would spend on a storage room
So funny I watch this video a bit late whaha I’m in love with Canada
Go for it!

I choke up watching that part too - he definitely knew we were going away - he was being so cuddly :(:(:( Have a great weekend!
I'm stoked to live vicariously through you! I so wish I was in your shoes girl.
Soooo exciting for you guys!!!

Did you make your dressing gown?? Or do you have a link??
It was from asos but a few years ago now 😔 sorry!
@@AndreaClare No worries, I think I can find a similar pattern! Thanks for the reply though!

It's a great place to live! We love it so far :) I use Final Cut Pro :)
PERFECT. Well done. I like it.
How did your little dog make it, did he sit with you?
Chico is actually the family dog, so he stayed in Vancouver with my mom 🥰
...and... WELCOME to Europe for once more Andrea! Enjoy your staying!
thank you!!! :)
So excited for you..nice place to land!
It is! Beautiful place! So happy to be here :)
Amsterdam is such a beautiful city. How long will you be living there?
We don't have a set time but at least a few years I would imagine! :) We will see :)
Sounds amazing... enjoy!
Serendipity! I'm excited for you but have the happy/sad feeling too. I like your editing.
Thank you! I loved editing this one but it makes me happy/sad too :(

If you get homesick & want an American/Canadian style bar - look up Beer Temple.

Where is that beautiful robe from!? And congrats on the move!,
It's from Asos but probably 7 months ago :( sorry - not much help!
All the best!

Is it because they like Canadians or why did the agent just pass you through? Just wondering
Could you please explain how you get these opportunists to travel for your husbands work? I’m a bit confused! Hope the move is going well ❤️
