When you love the Lord every time you hear love songs you instantly feel God's presence because God is love. We are to love unconditionally

I personally LOVE it! "CHURCH FOLK" get soo caught up in "man made" religion and protocol that they forget GOD is love and it's ok to be intimate with him. It's GOD who even allows you to feel love and be able to express it.

I feel that you should find The Word of God in Everything. .. Even in songs that are not written for that purpose. I always feel the spirit of the Lord in everything, because he is forever on my mind and in my heart.

First let me say, I Love this video. Big thanks to the person that posted.
It's revealing how people call this man unholy and claim to how so much Godly wisdom and discernment but often listen to love songs by gospel artist and GOD, JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT or anything Godly is never mentioned in the song. I've listened to secular rap songs that mention GOD more often than some so-called gospel songs.
My advice: Stop practicing traditional and frowning on anything that don't fit within the square box of what you grew up doing at your church. Seek a relationship with GOD and Love GOD in new ways.
People need to stop putting God in a box, if you listen to what he was saying he said love songs not any profane, y'all people are so heavenly minded that y'all are no earthly good

Plus, this just seems alike the kind of church we see these days where its about the Pastor's personality and not about Jesus. This kind of stuff appeals to the flesh, and therefore is counter productive to walking in the Spirit
I would hate to go to this church. The Church as a whole gott wake up and stop mixing the sacred and the profane. So now I can sing "don't stop pop that" and say I was singing it for Jesus??
really? that is NOT the same. THAT song is profane but this is good ole r&b and love songs. You gotta meet people where they are sometimes. This was the perfect way to do that so kudos to him!

Praise the Lord, these songs were just what I needed to hear.
I used to go home and sing every day in the 70's and sing love songs imagining God as the object of affection. It worked for relieving a lot of stress. Truly Love of the kind he is referring is far beyond romance, but many songs embrace gospel and all R&B comes from Gospel anyway. It takes a pure perspective of the definition of music, that's all.
Truthfully there are so many secular songs out there that really are about the God that it is hard not to see it if He is in your heart. Thank God for pastors who truly understand what it means to be IN the world but not OF it! Praise Him in His Sanctuary!
He's saying to me that although we're surrounded by these things, we can still make it lift up the name of Jesus!

As a young adult I grew up on the old songs because my father was a bishop but he knew that reach a different generation he had to switch it. He had dress down Sundays and played ball with the guys. I find nothing wrong with this video. It reaches a new generation.

I just love this video. I've been singing secular love songs to my Lord just about forever replacing the "baby and girl" with the name Jesus, but those hymns does something to me.

Very well demonstrated. We walk daily with one another, but until we get am image of who our God is to us, and a understanding of who we are to God. Jesus loves me, because he tells me so through many venues.

Praying to keep our minds uplifted on the Lord specially listening to the gospel music that is being played now in 2009. "When somebody loves you back" by Teddy Pendergrass is my all time favorite vocal song in the world from a male artist and like Bishop Love, when I need to connect, I play this tune loudly.
A gangster rap song has within it, the same scales of music as a spiritual hymn. The difference is- the intention and the perception of the one receiving it and or delivering it.
I'm grateful for the gift of music and to serve in the capacity of a musician.
I love this!! Being able to be free in the Lord and know that your still saved is what's it's about, sometimes you have to take other avenue's to reach some people!
One of the things I love about God, is how He uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. For the ones watching this video......its so easy, fullfilling and rewarding singing praises to God in any form.....only He(God), the one that made us and knows ALL about us know if we are worshipping in spirit and in truth.

It does not matter who you are singing to...it matters what inspired the lyrics...when I hear Always and Forever I think of something unpure and unclear baby...he is wrong wrong wrong...God's TRUE anointing does not need to borrow anything from the world.

How can what he did be wrong when I have over 200 friends on face book saying they want to start serving God . The words were beautiful as he song to our Father and I am sure he is pleased with how the song that was written for love now belongs to him . We are saved by grace there is no act you can do but when it comes from the heart its a Blessing
I have no problem with the lyrics, because he has one focus in this, JESUS!! If he took all the focus off the Lord, thats where everyone of us should have a problem. It isn't about the Bishop, its about Jesus!!! God Bless!!

Without getting too deep I will say. That I was at that church that day by chance and from my point of view I believe that people were not so excited that he sang rnb in church. I think the excitement came from taking songs we all know and sing frequently and thinking of them in a different light. When he did Reunited those lyrics did something 4 me personally when I think about how I went from the church and came back, and Yes, It felt so good. We were just as excited about the hymn at the end.
Only real worshippers can do this. I love it. The pastor demonstrate love and his relationship with God. It all depends who you singing to.

What we have to remember is that this is a new and VERY different generation. Parents don't take their children to church the way it was done in yester years. I feel he has reached out and touched some of our wayward youth and some of the "brothas" that dont feel its cool to worship and have given them a way to communicate with God. We all may take different roads to get there, but the important thing is that WE GET THERE! Wonderful way to reach out to those still in the world and bring them in!
Love it. The message is clear....Love the Lord and praise HIS Holy Name. God created all of the artists and gave them their gifts so if their lyrics can serve Him DO IT! ALL are welcome into the Kingdom of God!

This brought a smile to my face :) I am a Christian who constantly struggles with letting go of secular music. BUT I WILL SAY THIS: ALOT of old religious music (hymns, etc) were taken from "bar music" and "folk music," and we weren't around back then to decipher them! So many of what is in the hymn book (including "What Child Is This"?-which comes from "Greensleeves" to name a few) were adapted and brought into the church..we do it a lot less now than we did back then :) relax...Let Him judge!!

To each his own I have no heaven or hell to put anybody in. unorthodox but it seems to bring a sense of comfort to them we all have eyes and ears and hear and see things differently that's what makes us all unique.

Its a wonderful thing to still be saved and have fun in the kingdom. Keep doing what your doing Man of G-d. Being save doesn't mean being stuffy or narrow minded. Truth be told all "gospel" song aren't always saving songs. Its the message in the music that we should ultimately listen too.
Some people are soo bound it makes no sense. Love this. There is no compromising. I had a cd made for a Mother's Day lunch and included gospel songs as well as Diane Reeves' "Better Days" and Boyz 2 Men's "Mama'. It is the same thing. Christ wasn't offended by either expression of love.

Church folk are so hypocritical and we need to be more like Christ and fish out all men, not just those who are saved and seem to already be right. The church is the hospital and we need to bring in the patients. I see stress dropping off the congregants and the Word is more awesome than his singing. Wink, wink, and AllSmiles

Alot of the old hyms that we sing today are secondlar songs that were switched around so the word of God says sing unto him a new song. So why not give thanks in all things. Music belongs to God and so as the kingdom of God we need to embrace this and know that this is his praise and some of us praise this way as well and once we stop fighting body maybe we can conquer this world.
