I have felt that the words of Elder Anderson, are truly prophetic and inspired of God. We need to focus more on Christ in our families and in our local churches, we need to be more united in the faith of Christ also with members of other christian denominations to strenghten each other and to help each other to let shine the light of Christ in the world, because otherwise if we focused on differences, the spirit of contention will prevail. This doesn't mean to compromise, it means only to put first our core faith in Christ that we have in common with other fellow christians. Thank you Elder Anderson for your prophetic talk. I will cherish your words because they are the words of Christ.
Having this UA-cam channel made it even easier to access this Conference talk! Today (April 11th 2021) we had this talk as our lesson topic in Relief Society class in my ward. We had a good lesson with insightful comments & discussion on the different ways we talk of Christ and the ways others have influenced us to come to Jesus Christ. We hold the class over a Zoom meeting and participation is good! I’m grateful for the people who put in the work on this channel as it is helpful for many!
Jesus Christ really is the center of EVERYTHING in our beliefs. We talk of Christ, preach of Christ, rejoice in Jesus Christs redeeming grace, that we may know to which way we may look for a remission of our sins. I remember a quote from Brad Wilcox that says "Jesus doesn't make the difference, Jesus makes ALL the difference". It is in and through Jesus Christ may we be transformed, it is in and through Jesus Christ we may forsake our sins, it is in and through Jesus Christ that we may have eternal life! He brings us peace, joy, and purpose. He comforts us and stands by us and "is with us every step of the way". I remember I was down on my knees praying that I may see the saviors grace and mercy and see it. Then all of the sudden I recieved light on what I had asked! I was overcome with joy and then could not stop crying! I realized that Jesus Christ is truly our savior, that he is the only way to forsake my sins and be saved! It was a beautiful experience. I bear my testimony that Jesus Christ is our savior. In and through him may we have peace, joy, purpose, and eternal life. I know that Jesus Christs grace is sufficient for each of us and that he is standing with open arms eagerly awaiting for us to come unto him. Jesus Christ gave his own life and underwent EVERY SINGLE PAIN just so he could know how to succor us and save us. He knows what we have gone through and he will be with us "every step of the way"! I so testify in the name of our savior Jesus Christ Amen!
I am so grateful that these wonderful talks from October are dispersed among the CFM public youtube posts. I find your faith promoting talks so rich in direction for how I can follow Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for reaching out to me and all of those who find your talks. We are so grateful for the blessings from Christ received through all the conference talks. Thankyou so much.
Indeed we need to talk more about the Savior, I've been noticing that we talk about a lot of things and tell lots of stories in our talks in the church when we should be talking about Christ!
