Thank you for the helpful video. I managed to replace my own screen, but you weren't kidding about the cable being finicky. I have a few horizontal lines on mine still from a loose connection, so if I had to give one piece of advice to people attempting this repair, it would be this: when testing the screen after seating the connection and replacing the screw plate, fully boot the phone, log in, and ensure the display is fully functional/crisp BEFORE applying adhesive. Don't just check to see if it boots.
The lines aren't that bad, and I can live with it compared to not having a phone, but I would have done that differently.
Thank you for this very nice tutorial! I didn't have the perfect tools for the exchange and had to improvise a little bit, but thanks to your description I was able to exchange the display without destroying my phone. Best greetings from Germany!
I have been using an old white T-shirt for a work surface for two years. No more! Just visited your injured gadget store and bought the blue work surface. It is a good site for smartphones stuff for repair.
Thank you for showing the plugging in step
I believe in installing a tempered glass screen protector on the new LCD/Digitizer BEFORE you handle the replacement screen as you install it.
On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard would you say this is for a newbie who is never ever done anything like this before?
Just ordered a replacement screen and battery to repair and old iPhone 6. You videos definitely helped with understanding everything. First time let see how it goes!
Thanks hopefully from the link in the description you can get really good quality Parts there Amazon quality really sucks
I did order from that link. My test run hopefully I can one day make it a money maker.
@@Lazyeyegriff make sure if you order a replacement screen that it comes with a magnetic rubber mat that has a photograph of both sides when you open up the iPhone it has photograph or images of the interior of both sides of the frame and also of the LCD digitizer because you have to put the screws that you take out and exactly the right place or else you'll damage the motherboard
I always describe it to my customer as an LCD digitizer assembly replacement
Just ordered ty
If I buy it from the website does it come with any of the tools or are those sold separately?
My Screen on mine (which i got replaced back in July) is falling off. Whats the best method of reattaching it? Simply just take it off and reglue it? Unless theres more to it that i dont know about.
@@TechMDUA-cam Hi, I need to replace my Pixel 3a screen. When applying the glue how can I tell whether or not there is a sensor or something else that's important and shouldn't have glue on top?
@@swezelrodrigues4961 you really need to get a magnifying glass that has an LED light built into it let mon one my wife bought for me it comes with a little clip that attaches to the side of your table this way with a magnification you can see exactly what is what and I'll have to guess where you have to put the glue
Is heating up a phone with a battery in it not dangerous? 🥺
Can you do back glass replacement on the galaxy s7 edge
Doesnt the camera part need to be reinstalled on the new screen?
Did you know if I could reuse the original adhesive on the screen, or would the adhesive be ruined once the phone is opened? I'm going to replace the back housing of my 3a ( everything works fine) and came across your video to get an idea of how to get the screen off. Hope I won't ended up screwing my screen! Thanks!
oh its defiantly not that easy! I just tried it and when it comes to clipping that tiny clip, its impossible! It just keeps coming apart right away and doesn't seem to stay connected for any length of time. go on finding a tool that fits the tiny star key bolts!

I followed your steps but the screen still doesnt show anything. Can it be a defective screen I have bought?
Well did you buy the screen from us? Did you test it before in selling? Yes it could be defective. Try resetting the phone by holding down the volume button and power button. Or try disconnecting the battery which is more problematic.
I was so afraid of not damaging the connector that I was trying to test it before it was properly connected. Ended up carefully using my finger and got a nice click, then all good. Maybe the same with you?
Thank you Tech MD by the way.
Is this an oem screen?
WHERE DO THE PINS CONNECT HOLY. I WATCH VIDEO AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO IT AHHH

Does anybody know where to get OEM Pixel 3A screen? I called "injuredgadgets.com" (as recommended by the author) and they said their stock is not OEM. Does anyone have experience with their non-OEM Pixel 3A screen? How is the color and the touch functionality/sensitivity when compare to the OEM version?
If you can let me know :) I cracked my screen yesterday and looking for an OEM screen.
I'm sorry to say, I am a victim to replacing this phone's screen... the earpiece is definitely the weakest part of the link here and easily damaged.
Thumbs down for the misleading video title. You're not replacing the glass only, but the entire display assembly.
Gautier Gueguen Oh I see what you’re saying yeah I have to put glass in there for keywords some people just put glass repair for Google pixel three. It’s not my fault that you don’t read Lcd Repair in the title.
Gautier Gueguen Also is the part made up of just an LCD component? Or is it made up out of Lcd and Glass hmmm I wonder. 😎
This is the best Pixel 3a screen replacement video on UA-cam. Thank you!
