2 things about this lock... 1 if you don't hold the tool in place when you pull the key out, many times it will drop the last tumbler and it won't reset. Then your key won't work. 2. These locks are so pathetically weak that you can take a flat blade screwdriver, wedge it into the key way and with a pair of pliers attached to the screwdriver you can force the cylinder to turn rather easily. It's the design of the tumblers. Weak. No security.
@@thatconsumercouple3013 You totally block the visibility of when/how you insert the change tool. It's an important detail which Weiser fails to describe - that the change tool's pin only goes in about 1/4 inch. You don't need to spend, like I did, a lot of time trying to figure what you're doing wrong because the tool does not insert all the way in, like you must do when you insert a regular key into the lock!

Really? Good to know. Is that the case with all manufacturers or just this one? Which manufacturer makes the strongest ones?
