When the first song began, it almost seemed like the 1940s RCA was a bit muffled on the higher end and had a boost in the upper mids, but as the song progressed and I heard it next to the Tung-Sol, it almost seemed that the 1940s tube was just as sibilant as the Tung-sol, but also still had that bit of a upper-mid boost that the Tung-sol just didn't have. It was an odd development and I'm not sure if anyone else heard what I did, but it was quite odd. The Second song, I'm not sure where to begin. The sound is SO WIDE on my HD 6xx Headphones, that it almost seems like a completely different recording of the song. I'm not sure what happened. The song sounds fine, it's just really wide. The shakers are really pronounced on the 1940s tube, the mix is just a bit better though on the Tung-sol. Maybe something happened in the tube during recording, but I may have to revisit this one sometime.
