I'm not young anymore but I remember the "secret menu" stuff back in the day wasn't actually a thing any place did but a selection of food you bought and put together yourself.

You have to tell people how to make that stuff as most of these workers are probably only there for 4 months to a year and move on unless they are management who aren't gonna be working drive-throughs. I don't really know though, I've never worked in food service besides being a bartender in college.
i've worked at mcdonalds for 2 years now and if theres anything I learned is that if something is apart of the secret menu absolutely no one in the restaurant will know what it is not even the store manager.
You can't just ask for the secret menu, it's secret, you need to order it with the code.
