Ty I'm so jealous 😭 😂 I would love to catch a massive crappie like that 😮 awesome video as always 💪
Wow! You weren't kidding! Those Black Crappie were absolute *TOADS!* That was good to SEE! Thanks for taking us along. 🙂👍
I've had the pleasure of fishing A LOT of these ponds you fish, being A roofing contractor I've fished a bit of these subdivision ponds Loaded with trophy Crappie.
97%of these ponds are catch and release.
Yes me too.
When one of my customers told me that ALL the ponds in that area were LOADED with crappie, I couldn't believe it, but surely He was telling the truth. I have fish 5 different ponds in the area and they ALL HAVE TROPHY Crappie, bass, bream, and catfish..
That first massive crappie I think was actually a massive white crappie with it's spawning colors. That black spot where it's "ear" would be gives it away. I could be wrong. Love your videos man, I hope you make so much money doing this. Best fishing content on UA-cam!
The world needs more people like you
I’m in a bad way right now and I seen this video pop up and had to stop and watch it thank you Ty it really helped my day 😃
I frequently feel the same way @Roaddawd My life has been pretty rocky the past 6-8 months and I stumbled across these videos and Ty has really helped me to feel a lot better especially on bad days. I have even been getting out fishing and actually looking forward to the next day when I plan to fish it. And that wouldn't have happened without people like Ty. So keep your head up and take it one day at a time. Try to get out and fish if your able. Good old Wally-Mart sells a complete fishing kit for around $20 if you dont have anything yet and your tight on funds. I promise it will help even if you dont catch a damn thing like most of my trips end up LOL It just feels good having something to look forward to the next day or weekend instead of just trying to get through the day.
Also getting outdoors with fresh air and sunshine especially after being cooped up over the winter can actually improve your health. Humans require sunlight to absorb or process vitamin D so during the winter we are more likely to feel down, unmotivated, or depressed. Give it a shot and keep an open mind and it will almost certainly help. It happens to me every winter but it took me a long time to realize it. Best of luck to you and I hope things improve. Be safe and take care.
P.S. Ty has a hometown childhood friend he went to school with named Josh who also makes some very decent and entertaining videos. His channel is called @PigPatrolTV if you haven't watched any give it a try. I have grown to really enjoy watching them both. Good Luck!!!
That’s it. I’m now convinced that Ty buys fish and then films himself reeling them in!
Does he have to catch the rarest and biggest fish every time?
Next week he’s gonna catch a 27ft Great White Shark in Chicago
Hahaha trust me it takes many hours to make a video like this, it’s not as easy as it looks!!
@@TyPigPatrol
ha ha! I’m just jealous. You’re definitely skilled…or lucky?
I’ve yet to figure out which one🤘
Those crappie caught during the storm were gigantic! Awesome.
Thank you for making fun fishing videos
Damn I miss crappie fishin… I may have to take a trip up by Sedona to see about catching a few myself. Thanks for chasing the content man! Love what you do and do what you love!
I bought some of your jigs and I'm catching hawg crappie off them.
I'm gonna order some more..love that jig.
You try that in the city ponds around here, you’ll catch a bullhead or a plastic bag from the liquor store…
That’s one hell of a pond you got there.
Hey man. I got interested in this channel while looking for stuff to do during the pandemic. I bought gear years ago but couldn’t find anyone to show me the basics until yesterday. I haven’t touched a pole in 40 years. Everything I know about fishing is from this channel. I felt I kinda knew what I was doing. Six castes in, I got what I think was a decent crappie thanks to your tips. Pretty cool.
Unbelievable! Beautiful Crappie, man I need to find a spot here and catch some, thanks for sharing 👍
Ty reeling in the big ones once again! Those were definitely some beautiful crappie. Without crazy wind like that, what’s your technique? Just a slow retrieve? As always stay safe, tight lines and stick your PB!
Honestly I got it in the spot and let the wind do the work, it moves the lure perfectly!!
I can hear you loud & clear bud, & those were some of the most beautiful crappie you’ve gotten….absolute units 😊
Somebody is keeping a nice edge on that lawn.
@@TyPigPatrol I’ve noticed it in several of these videos and I’ve held my thoughts on it long enough.
Sweet video, I love seeing how different you guys do it the other side of the pond 👌
Those crappie are so big, they have a sign on them that says dinner fot two!
Some tanks man, love how beautiful they are
Good lands bro. It’s been tough for me....I got a 5.04lb bass with a curly clobber on an under spin......a bunch of crappie all same size with a black stripe on top of head....
Nice glad you caught a big bass on the curly clobber!!! And those black nose crappie aren’t super common, super cool catch!!! Look them up they are a different species all together!!
Wow Ty, really cute pair of Crocks you have on at 5:24 . Are those little fishy stickers?
@@TyPigPatrol Holy crap, they are real. I just looked them up. You actually paid good money for these? On a side note. I too wear Crocks. But only the original black ones... I am what they call a Crock Originalist.
Use the same set up for spring crappie, place a berkley crappie nip on there and it fires them up alot more.
Hi TY,
That’s the size crappie I was catching in a pond last year. I have my ultra light KK rod with 2000 size reel. Guess what I’m going to venture out with bait casting rod/reel combo with the double braking system. What would you pair with the mega jaws reel? Thanks Tyler
Howdy Ty, thank you for the video and your efforts!! F@#$ I love fishing, but your down AF. I thought the thumbnail was enhanced but NAAAH that was a beaut!!
Ty i am new to fishing, question....Do you whip back the rod when you get a bite to secure the hook?
Yes that’s what you do. The smaller and thinner the hook the less whip you need. Fisherman call it “setting the hook” or a “hook set” for short.
Yes - and practice makes perfect. Also, different species bite differently, so the more experience you get at “setting the hook” the better you’ll get at landing different species.
Yes indeed, very different depending upon the lure and fish but you must bury the hooks!
Yeah buddy, they out there.
U had my mouth watering with those crappies brother! Pull the guts out and lay those buggers over some hardwood coals 👍 🤤
Such beautiful fish...I know they are called "Black Crappie" but for the life of me I cant understand why they aren't called "Blue Crappie" or even better "Azure Cappie" I would love to eat some and see if they taste as beautiful as the look haha😋 Up here in the lovely Hudson Valley NY people consider Crappie and Walleye the 2 best tasting freshwater fish.
@@TyPigPatrol Absolutely brother. I'm a bit jealous 🤣LOL But your one of the good ones and I so appreciate what you do and it always motivates me to get out there and fish. Thanks again man!
@@TyPigPatrol Oh hey if you have the time drop a quick hello to someone named Roaddawg who left a comment. He's struggling a bit and I'm sure he would be as happy as I am to get a reply from you 🥰
Fish of my dreams bro😢❤
Nice catch🎉
That’s huge sometimes when the weather is at the worst fishing is best
💜🎣
I love your video recently moved to Macon ,looking to have a good day like you guys , keep up the great content may I ask where this pond is located?
I know EXACTLY where this is, my crew is doing a roof here tomorrow, we should link up and set a few hooks?🎣🎣
Great vid
Where are you catching them?
Sick!
Sugarland or close? I never would have thought those monsters would be in those lakes! Super cool.
Even crazier is that Ty said in the beginning of this video they were at one of the local "urban ponds" I'm lucky if I catch a decent bass in a local pond and usually its just a tiny Sunny or Bluegill maybe the occasional carp LOL
@@12982evets I remember back in the 90s when I was a courier in Houston, a couple of those office complexes would have big ponds with waterfalls and sht. I remember looking down and seeing giants at times. I never thought to fish them much. I did fish buffalo bayou behind a west loop building some. It was cool to have a hide in the city.
Good times and memories. Anytime is a good time for making up on missed opportunities. I try to do so whenever the chance comes along. Thanks for the comment. Hope you have an excellent day and tight lines all the time.
I'm going to do some shore fishing on the Hudson River here in the beautiful New York Hudson Valley for the striped bass migration that has just kicked into high gear. CANT WAIT!!!!
I had a spot just like that it was the same scenario where the wind was blowing into it I mean it looks exactly the way yours looked And I cut 40 bass in about three hours I was just using live Nightcrawlers and they were suspended also on top it was a feeding frenzy for sure
Wear are you caught in them at
Where did y'all catch them
Insane
Bro, that looks like my neighborhood. I thought I saw you out there one day but I wasn’t sure. Hell the last time we fished together was the tournament on ladybird way back.
Man we need to link up again. Is this actually your neighborhood? If so you better come say hi next time.
@@TyPigPatrol yeah man. I have a number for you but the area code begins with a 4. Do you still have the same number?
Would a 7'6'' medium heavy torrent and alloy m be good for me learning how to use a baitcaster?
I spend 5 minutes making sure my worm or plastic is perfectly straight and right on the hook.
Ty just threads it in wonky af and still slays a 3lb crappie lmfao. Wtf is my life
Holy crap(pie)…!
love your videos man and those were fattys bro!
Is this a private pond???
just curious,are you in Texas?
dude those things are built like brick sh*t houses 😅 nice work
man i would love to see you collab with " Deermeat for dinner or Blue Gabe
Hey to your friend to
Where is this location
Mega
Why do you take the picture so close to the fish? Oh ya to make it bigger nice one bud
Need to release those crappie in some grease
Ty?!?#!!! Bro man, like seriously. You my guy just do NOT realize how freaking BAD I want to get a chance to catch a crappie that big? You should help your guy out man be life long experience!!!
I won't be supervised if there is and world record in there.
Toaster at 5:10
Looks like a balloon.
If there are white Crappie in that lake, I seriously doubt that is the biggest Crappie in that lake.
Do you have something against lifting fish out of the water? Watching you land crappie is painful
The crappie have such soft mouths, it’s very easy for the bigger ones to come off if I lift them up!
Ty is the man
Thank you Ronald!!!
