Hi Marce I live in New Zealand so its expensive here as well. I used A4 lightweight card from the office supply store. It is a step up from the standard printing paper and gives a bit of substance. The other thing I have done is to print out on standard printing paper and then glue it to something heavier. Thanks for watching and joining in!! xx Michelle
These are wonderful Michelle! I will have to download more of Marion's stuff. I only did a little and got busy before I made the book. Loved watching your evolution as you played with the books. Love the way you used the paper bag and the tissue tape for a pocket - great idea! I also like the clip with the seam binding - so clever and inexpensive. I will have to check out her channel. Keep playing! It feels addictive because you are awakening your creativity!
You and I think alike...one is never enough! I love all your little pockets and tuck spots you add in each book. I also like sewing on pages. It adds interest to the pages. Thank you for your tutorials !
Your little vintage books ate totally divine. Boy, you have really inspired me this afternoon with all your wonderful projects! I hadn't seen any of these down load tho Gus before...now I need to check them out, very cool. Thanks for sharing. Jan.
Hi Lorie I used three different bindings. One is the coptic stitch - the UA-cam channel SeaLemonDIY has some great tutorials on binding. The shabby chic style binding is the coptic stitch onto fabric and this was from Marion Smith, and the other binding was a simple pamphlet stitch. I hope that helps, let me know if you need any further info. xx Michelle
Michelle, another and another and another fabulous project! You have the talent of making something your own!!! You are a great advertisement for Marion and deserve a commission!!! TFS and I would love to see one of your journals after you fill it in with photos and journaling. Big HUGS EllenBee
Thanks - the time varies, depending on how many pages and which binding you use. The third binding is the quickest. But it is usually a few hours, and I love every minute of it, which is why I immediately start the next!! xxMichelle
Thank you for your lovely words. I will put one in my upcoming giveaway and maybe you can win it! I have a few things to finish for the giveaway but I promise it will be as soon as possible. xx Michelle
