Both such fine guitarists with their own style. It’s a hard call, but RJ has the best hair. Kidding aside, RJ, you make it sound like a sax. Super cool.
Awesome to see young musicians and singers keeping alive the blues, in this day and age of the death of popular music and its replacement by the worst forms of hip-hop/rap/techno-dance garbage.
Guitarists are good and all , RJ a virtuoso, but Jimmy Sutton on bass been a heavy hitter since early 90’s ( or before!) Mighty Blue Kings killler jump blues … then the 4 Charms, badass vintage 40’s/ 50’s R&B/ R&R Then of course his hits w JD McPherson..
Top-class! I preferred the sound of the Stratocaster, but I think it might have been better still if Austin had played a Tele, because to me his picking style suits that model better. I though RJ's tone was a little thin. It was good to see the backing musicians leaving space for the soloists, without turning the performance into a competition, too.
Not sure if its the sighting or what?!?! That guy playing the lead guitar from around 3 minutes on looks like an AI insert...he is killing it either way!!!
Pretty obvious who these guitar players have been listening to! Ronnie Earl, Charlie Baty, Jr. Watson, Alex Shultz, Hollywood Fats...Etc. Etc. But all in all i enjoyed the players, and how well they played their instruments. Was NOT a fan of the singer; Sorry!!
Austin is a badass on that strat!
Always a joy to see austin play
This is fantastic, i never imagined RJ with the Hi-Jivers!
More Please
Yeah, RJ really makes that guitar speak ... and sing.
Blues with a feeling!!
Two great solos, framing a great singer! Kind of music you have to let in…feel it…wash over you, and be baptized by.
RJ you kill it as always.
Austin reminds me of early Buddy Guy.
Great guitar work!
Nice to see RJ playing live with a band. First time. You guys all sound great. 👍
Great classic old school tones and licks on that strat.

They've pulled all the old guys licks and tones from the sixties, buddy guy Freddie King ,great homage
Lovin' the clean Strat tones! Great cover.
Really raises the bar....excellent blues
This band burns into my soul with the blues and vocals
AJ reminds me a lot of Jimmy Vaughn. Killer.
I love these guys. Great singer and very good musicians

This woman is the best singer I've heard since Janis.
Probably you've never heard Mama Tips.. Go check her out... Soulmate from India..
🔊👊🏻
If Chester Burnett had been born a girl. I've loved these guys since I first heard them. Helluva band.
Austin John kind of got a Kid Ramos sound to it.

Thanks for sharing, I'll search for Jimmy Sutton's music. I'm always keen to discover good music.

I stand corrected, thank you

AI insert?!? Dude, put down the bong.
@@nashvilleheatwaves2695 Unfortunately you will get more of this as the real and AI generated becomes less different
@@JpeterZoom-gt3pn no doubt, but I won't be going to the dark side.
Great band, great song, great playing by both RJ and Austin. I wish they'd mixed up the vocalist a bit more. She has a great voice.
Can he play that guitar or what!
Hey, is that Jimmy Sutton??!!
the one and only

This video is a proof of that pedals ruin your tone and dynamics.
Good stuff.
I’m just sick of the blues. All sound the same. There’s just no creativity.
