  • A true master of his instrument, living legend, Vidwan Umayalpuram K Sivaraman has been playing the Mridangam for more than 6 decades. He has accompanied several top ranking Carnatic and Hindustani musicians in their concerts and has trained many students in the art of mridangam and continues to train disciples. He has been awarded many prestigious awards, the highest being the Sangeet Natak Akademi award and glorius Padma Vibhushan.
