I didn't realize this until recently, but Powerwolf is probably one of my favorite power metal artists recently. In addition to several other bands I've discovered recently, Powerwolf seems to have a really solid discography and I can't wait for the new album. I'm definitely going to seek out physical copies of all their stuff.

Have been a fan of Gary Moore since i bought a run for cover cd in a flea market in the town where my grandparents used to live when i was 8. Last year i discovered powerwolf while roaming on youtube, and when i first heard this song I felt genuine chills and my heart race, taking me back to my first discoveries of rock and metal. So thank you once again Powerwolf for making such an amazing and unique cover, as well as a perfect tribute to the late Gary Moore and Phil Lynott.

I can definitely see the appeal of powerwolf, but i personally think that the original is better. Then again, i've always been partial to a more "melodic" kind of sound.
Either way, i wholeheartedly recommend that you check out the original by Gary and Phil Lynott. I think you'd enjoy both versions. And while you're at it, check out Gary's "Over the hills and far away" too. :D
