- Dream Girl star Nushrat Bharucha in an exclusive interview with Zoom opens up about her fight with depression and the darkest phase of her life. She talks about the multiple rejections she got in auditions during the initial start of her Bollywood career. She also talks about an incident post the release of her film Akash-Vaani which broke her confidence completely. Nushrat recalls her fond memories from the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Nushrat shares her experience of doing the promotional song 'Dhagala Lagali' for 'Dream Girl'. Nushrat shares about her relation with Kartik post 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. I liked Akaash Vaani so much and infact i wanted to do love marriage at that time but my parents were totally against it, and i remember i made my mom watch that movie and she changed her mind!! It was a beautiful movie guys do watch it. I loved it. I am married to the guy i wanted to marry now.

I have deep empathy for such Talented artists. I remember watching PKP/PKP2 and she clearly stood out with her class act. Some junk star kids get roles for whatever reasons over these people breaks my heart.

I actually thought akash vaani was a good movie. But i never even realised when it got released ! I dont think they promoted/marketed it well at all . I only saw it on tv later , and honestly think more people need to see it.

Makes me realize, how easily and blatantly we spit out criticisms and comments about artists and their works. I do it too, despite being an artist myself. We see hundreds of dislikes and negative comments on youtube videos of just people singing, or dancing or playing an instrument i.e expressing their art in some or the other way. I mean, they're just displaying art, even if we don't like it, we should refrain from dislikes and bad comments. And then there are cringey videos with people giving abusive statements and we make them go viral. Her struggles made me realize there's so much more to an artist than we can see on screen. More power to the beautiful woman Nushrat.

People do show hatred easily, nobody should be mentally damaged enough to accept the unreasonable hatred. Haters should have a change of mind, not the other way around. I know it is not how it works, but it should. Atleast we should preach our beliefs and not do victim blaming. What is wrong is wrong. Unreasonable hatred is never the answer, if it is, i hope EVERYBODY receives it on a daily basis for everything they do, maybe that will break some sentiments in people. Being downright cruel and ignorantly so, should be unacceptable to all. :)

I had to comment this... Akaashvaani was her best performance till date...had it been released today it would surely made money ....she was so freaking effortless and natural in that film....
I watched Akash Vaani atleast 15 times, atleast one time with each of my family members and friends... it was and still is a movie so close to my heart... your character was the highlight of the movie the emotional ride you put your viewers on is just amazing. the scene in second half where you try to leave, you and akash both sitting on a bench, not saying anything... crying your heart out... it was the moment that shattered my heart and i was crying just iike you two were. for me and many of the people i know you will always be the sweet, beautiful, pure of heart, full of life vaani who anyone can fall in love with very easily. you never know how many lives you touch with such soulful performances. maybe you consider it your failure but for me and million others it was a beautiful gift.
p.s: i know i wrote a lot but i can write a whole term paper on that movie its so damn close to my heart. this is not even 10% of what i feel for Vaani and that movie of yours.

I've seen her work as an actress where she has played the part of Maria who was charged for the murder of a film director of 'kya app 5v pass sexy yes hai'.she has acted very well in that.truly.there are a couple of actresses these days who act and are articulate,namely, she,Richa chadha, swara Bhaskar these are really good with their craft.and are so incredibly intelligent in their conversations.all the best to them

Aakash Vani is your best movie....performance wise , story wise, or the message that you gave with it. So just be proud of it. Some great movies don't work money wise but it still remains a great movie. And if it makes any difference so just to let you know that you have very good acting skills. Don't ever doubt your skill. Sometimes it's just luck that plays hard on you, nothing that you are doing wrong .
Nushrat is as talented and fabulous actor as kangana, she should get more meaty roles to prove her mettle
