I have a UA-cam channel where i post my music and singing videos it has around 300 subs now and the amount of time that goes into editing and posting + checking constantly for amount of likes shares subs comments is insane 💀💀💀 there is almost no way that someone won’t get distracted by it!! i am also a jee aspirant jiska jan attempt kuch khas nahi gaya hain due syllabus incompletion and low number of mocks given
now one thing that i could have done was to make a video saying "Ugh i messed up" and then rant that i did this i did that but still jee utna accha nahi gaya
i started making yt videos since class 5 and i would upload music videos and for that reason ik how distracting yt can be
shooting, editing is one part, but that fact that it stays in ur mind is a whole other segment of UA-cam. U constantly check your video for likes, comments, watch time, subs, etc
thats the reason i am not posting any such videos and am focusing on studies only, and ill also advice my fellow aspirants to not be on yt now, it is really distracting no matter how good ur focus levels are

I completely understand your point here, but bhaiya sab bacche ek jaise nahi hote hai. A lot of students have unsupportive parents/they are too shy to confront their parents. Sabka nature alag hota hai. Considering an important exam like jee, ek bacche pe kaafi pressure rehta hai. I dont really think its wrong on their part to seek help/vent out emotions through such videos. In the end we're just 16-18 year old kids who need supportive people, and usually face trouble finding some. Aap isko distraction iskeliye keh rahe ho kyuki aap strong headed ho, aapko itni problems face nahi karni padi hongi, but those who're making videos arent like that, they are sensitive and i think its absoultely okay for them to vent out their emotions on youtube due to lack of people. Ultimately, it depends on your mental strength, ki tumhe isse distraction/demotivation ki tareh dekhna hai ki ek mere 17 year old ka yapping session ki tareh.
Sir you yourself know that "IIT" tag is your whole personality (shayad ussi tag ke karn aapka channel chal rha hai and thats not a bad thing)..moreover everyone has a free will to post about things they like why to use their stuff thumbnails without their allowance???isnt that wrong again..The real ones already know what is real and what is just there for views

I'm a JEE vlogger too (subscribers mat dheko pls😂).
Here is my constructive criticism on it.
When you're vlogging, you get obsessed with it. You keep thinking ki kitne likes aaye , kitne views aaye , kisine comment kiya ? Etc. so that 40 mins thing is for sure giving an ick 😭🙏 also with that much of an audience sounds cap.
Why's that. We forget ki channel padhne ke liye bwnaya h naaki to add another responsibility.
Im not hating on anyone. But lets see it through.
Started off with him being put in the thumbnail. This guy mentioned that it was in his feed.
Why else would it be in the thumbnail? With No former duelties. Could be for views and this is normal bhai, or it could be cuz it will increase the impression click through rate cuz people will relate to it.Or it might simply be because of it randomly popping on his feed.
From the other perspective, Akul is just a teenager and is age me we want fame, we chase instant gratification. Ive seen his channel more than thrice and i can see that he is genuine.his only problem being you using him in thumbnail , which is fair cuz that brings hate with it, especially cuz that video talks about the 10% like he mentioned, as it makes the audience assume that hes one of them too. But bhai , agar bhayya ko us 10% ke kareme baat karna h , video banana hi h tho aur konsi thumbnail lagayenge.
An example:
If you yourself had to make a video portraying something bad about jee mentors. It is 99% likely you're going to use Nihant jindal or some famous guy.
We humans find something interesting if we relate to it.
Another example:
There are two videos infront of you on cricket. One with Your favourite cricketer on it and another with a random state player. Konsa dekhoge ?
And haan ye reply mat dena ki jaa padhle 🥲 im on my way home from library.
This is so disheartening bhay! No one is forcing you to watch them if they are irritating to you or if they seems fake to you. Neither i and nor you all know what must be a person going through after seeing their marks and in such case they all are already demotivated. Clearly they are venting out their feelings out on youtube.

I think theyre being perceived pretty wrongly. Its looking as if theyre doing it for views but in the end they just want to be accountable. Posting videos on youtube pressurises them to work accordingly to time and not procrastinate. If they do procrastinate, their viewers might send hate which they fear. Hence, these vloggers are emerging to create some sense of discipline and not the reverse.

I really like your videos, I've watched a few of them cause i felt like u gave authentic and realistic opinions on everything. But this was kinda mean ngl. I love watching these guys' videos (mahen and akul) cause it genuinely feels like im talking to a friend. I have negative thoughts sometimes but listening to them talk about their problems and what theyre doing to overcome it in their own way makes me feel less lonely in this journey. If its not causing harm to you, please leave them alone. We're all only 17/18 years old. We're immature and emotional and have a lot of problems in this. 4:51 bhaiya sahi mein !! i started an art account on insta when i was in 10th (10th ki beginning mein), mere almost 500 followers ho gye the but mein bahut zyada distracted rehti thi, i used to check my phone again and again ki kitne likes aaye kya comments aaye kitne followers huye and so on. phir meine boards ke liye insta delete kar diya and i decided ki boards ke baad hi account use karungi but uss time jab meine insta dekhna chhod diya tha, i felt so much at peace, i realised that i was taking unnecessary stress due to my art account, phir meine boards ke baad vo account khola hi nhi, ab 3 saal ho gye but abhi bhi man nhi karta vo account kholne ka

I personally liked some of your points like promo and all.. but kuch baate aisi hai which is totally wrong and as a study vlogger, first of all I'll say ki kuch students literally aise hote hai ki they fear to express their feelings to their parents.. so they choose this platform so that apne mann ki baat share kr ske and 2nd thing is agar koi daily content daal raha hai then I agree its wasting the time but if anyone is uploading his content once in 5-6 days then this is not anything wrong, cuz people must give time to a particular work which he likes to do once in a week or 5 days.. I'm against any promo but agar koi genuinely bol raha hai ki this book/ this lecture is helping then why shouldn't he say? Hnn but then he has to say that ki kaise uss resource ne usko help kri I agree...
Ab kuch log bolenge jaake padh le, terese JEE nhi hone wali yeh sb krke, so I know myself better and I know what to do for my next attempt and what are the mistakes I made during my 1st attempt
