  • Yes it's another one from a shop. Yes, it's a GMC...Yes, it's old. Let's fix it.
    Truck Wont Start
Many things will cause a vehicle not to start. Throwing parts at them is not the way. This truck is no exception.

Every time I get into something like that people like you're a miracle you fixed it........... Then they look at my face and see I'm not happy........ My responses yeah I got it running but what blew the fuse.......many people just throw a fuse at it and call it a day.... you have to find out what blew it.... Great work is always Joe👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks Joe. Appreciate the way u walk through the thought process of the diagnosis. As a shade tree guy who is trying to raise my game from parts changer to diagnostician, you are a good teacher.

    Great Job Joe!!
I’ve got three express vans just like that in our church bus/van fleet here in OKC. So I appreciate the thorough explanation..... might just need to know that circuit on a rainy day.
Once we had a 2004 that would intermittently spin the starter motor. At any given time even while driving, that was a starter drive eating machine! Ended up being an internal short in that same fuse/relay panel. We very tediously disassembled the panel to find a small piece of metal shaving from the stamping process that had been in there from factory day one. What a diagnostic find! That’s why I pray over nearly every job (Lord help me!) ..... you never know what lies behind things you could never normally see.

Nice detective work Joe Seems the Possum knows ( 4 years too early ) more than the vehicle owner or prior repair shop on his appetite. An unexpected food source for rodents in your auto is its wiring. Since 2008, many carmakers have started using soy-based wire insulation, known as bioplastics.
Better living through chemistry i guess , but for what species ? Haha
