- Yes it's another one from a shop. Yes, it's a GMC...Yes, it's old. Let's fix it.
Truck Wont Start
Many things will cause a vehicle not to start. Throwing parts at them is not the way. This truck is no exception.
Don't forget our Amazon www.amazon.com...
Every time I get into something like that people like you're a miracle you fixed it........... Then they look at my face and see I'm not happy........ My responses yeah I got it running but what blew the fuse.......many people just throw a fuse at it and call it a day.... you have to find out what blew it.... Great work is always Joe👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you
You are a true professional Joe with all the right tools. We need you in Texas!!!
I love it when you touch the fuse panel, and it has more motion than the love boat on honeymoon weekend!
Thanks Joe. Appreciate the way u walk through the thought process of the diagnosis. As a shade tree guy who is trying to raise my game from parts changer to diagnostician, you are a good teacher.
Awesome man. Thanks!
Great Job Joe!!
I’ve got three express vans just like that in our church bus/van fleet here in OKC. So I appreciate the thorough explanation..... might just need to know that circuit on a rainy day.
Once we had a 2004 that would intermittently spin the starter motor. At any given time even while driving, that was a starter drive eating machine! Ended up being an internal short in that same fuse/relay panel. We very tediously disassembled the panel to find a small piece of metal shaving from the stamping process that had been in there from factory day one. What a diagnostic find! That’s why I pray over nearly every job (Lord help me!) ..... you never know what lies behind things you could never normally see.
Awesome as usual Joe good content ... basics basics you’re the man!!👍👍👍👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That fuse pulling apparatus is awesome!
Great Video and Info!!! Always learning something new!!
Awesome. Great job Joe. Thanks for sharing 👍
Your thorough investigation to find the reason for the fuse failure- beautiful to watch. Not everyone would do that, and the vehicle might come back. Have a great day.
Great video. Thank you
Great job
Always look forward to your vidios Joe. Have a great day.
Glad you like them!
How great is a diagram. Exactly Keith would ask what burnt the fuse and find it right away. Good fix.
Good morning Joe. 😜
Morning!
I have to believe this is why we like working on vehicles. When our work results in a fix it's a good feeling.
Honestly buddy, I've never found any of your content in the slightest bit boring.
Gotta love Mitchell. They have numerous errors in diagrams.
I have seen errors in the factory diagrams also.
Another good video. Well explained. Thanks Joe.
Joe does it again!
Wow. That was too easy.
Nice Diag!
Thank you! Cheers!
Been lucky so far with my 2008 Impala 3.5 L 180,000 miles....
Original starter, alternator, and fuel pump.
However, the notorious vent valve, I think I’m on my 4th or 5th one.....
Nice vid Joe, I love the stick to the basics mentality.....

Zero mate, the key to survival is run the ac in the winter and the heat in the summer periodically.
Make sure you to move the dial back and fourth to each door.
Nice job, Joe. Great video!
thumbs up shared great trouble shooting and repair well done
Maybe you can get the hotspot service on your phone so you can connect the scanner to Internet through your phone when you are far from the shop Internet service.
Thanks Joe!
You bet!
Great job again
Goddamn possums must of put that bracket there lol
Joe another good video. I really appreciate the fact as you always explain the circuit and run through the wiring diagram prior to starting the repair. Just explaining the diagram is very helpful to me. Thanks again Joe and hope you and wife are doing well. Artie ❤️
Thank you Joe. Good job. Have a blessed and safe week to you and your family.
Nice find Joe. That is one mean possum! 😆
Right??
OPOSSUM
Awesome
Quit hitting GM we know you love them lol , nice work Joe .
Lol
Settled in for a new Joe video. Poured myself a fresh cup of Chevy hate to go along with.
Awesome video Joe! Thanks.
so glad i'm not the only one that talks to my tools. look at this way with gm youre not lonely like the maytag repairman lol (showin my age there)
Great video, thanks Joe! Gotta ask, who is Keith?
New Level Auto. Check him out.
I feel about Fords the same as you feel about Chevy's. LoL. Vent valves are the check engine light sensors for Chevrolet, just like DPFE sensors are to Fords.
@@cccspokesmanandcofounder havent seen many of those. But if they are as good as Fords IWE vacuum solenoids I understand completely.
Starter relay an issue with the green crusty?
Nice detective work Joe Seems the Possum knows ( 4 years too early ) more than the vehicle owner or prior repair shop on his appetite. An unexpected food source for rodents in your auto is its wiring. Since 2008, many carmakers have started using soy-based wire insulation, known as bioplastics.
Better living through chemistry i guess , but for what species ? Haha
I thought that looked like a vibration rub spot, did you find possum droppings?
How did the possum eat the middle out of the fuse
That's an awful location for that fuse block, I can see why it has corrosion in it. I wonder if the evap vent circuits are in that fuse block or maybe the one inside the car.
Evap vent solenoid in a GM, keep a spare part in the glovebox. They go bad that often.
Thanks for taking my mind away from this country's realities, even for 10 minutes
"Like a rock... thrown into the water." 😂🤣😅😄😆
Hey, it made it to 235k
I have had 3 Chevy’s go over 200k and ran great when I sold them. Yes I did a lot of repairs lol
@@kinglangren Absolutely! Most vehicles these days will last if you take care of them and, apparently, even if you don't in some cases.
that was dragged in here on a flat bed. which is, as we know, how you find most GMs. and you're wearing a Ford shirt. Most reliable vehicle I had (except in the Minnesota snow): '97 Ranger with 2 liter. I now have a '15 Trax AWD. Humorous side note: I am color blind and I watch your stuff to learn about electrical components
Wow, guess I shouldn't ask for help with my 26 year old GMC lol ! That's ok, think it needs a heads off carbon clean.
Why don't they just mount the fuse box under the wheel well next to the upper control arm,at least it would be easier to get to.
"Eaten by possums" LoL
So why not check the fuse first?
Because, we didn't know what we lost until we tested at the relay. Best place in my opinion to get direction. As I showed.
Why do they rot out is there not a water tight seal
nothing is water tight
@@JoesAutoElectric typical GM did they know water and electricity don't mix they should have made that fuse box water tight or put it up hi like everyone else does
Thanks Joe what's nice about the video is that the DIY guy can fix this same problem as Eric O would say if I can do it you can do it maybe he should get that saying copyrighted LOL are you going to make a video of the other GM? thanks for sharing .
Lol.
GM the heartbeat of America.............. No blood clot mon!
You misspelled heartbreak
Foist!
how u charged if u dont mind saying
Fairly
Comparing GM, Ford and Chrysler is like comparing Natty Light, Bud Light and Coors Light---it's all the same low-quality junk, just a slightly different flavor. Having a wiring diagram was really handy here, I can't imagine troubleshooting something like this without one
Don't you be spilling all those GM special features.... Everyone will want one....
Lmao the Chevy comments are great!
Nice!! But 230K Miles that Rock krack was unfitting.
👍👍
