Dame is a legend. I just don’t like how he says Jay did him dirty. I wish he would say stuff like” I shouldn’t have sold this, I should’ve done that differently”.
It was a combination of both. Ever heard of the saying "Two things can be true at the same time"? Dame did contribute to his own demise with his attitude and ego but that doesn't absolve Jay from making his own grimy moves. Far too many people have spoken on how Jay operates. And Dame isn't the only one who has been done dirty by Jay.
You can't "not sell" something if there's 3 in business and 2 vote you out. Lyor Cohen basically groomed Jay and Bigz to do that, while Dame was fighting for Jay's and his other artists' rights as creators..... That's the dirty part!

Let’s say Biggie would have left Bad Boy; I highly doubt the industry would turn their backs on Diddy like they did Dame. I just don’t see Biggie getting Diddy blackballed. Everything Dame was known for had Jay-z attached to it. Record label, clothing line, liquor brand, etc… From the outside he doesn’t appear to be the head honcho.
