@@underthehoodFL thank you. Love the historical context and all the details that aren’t necessarily in the Bible. I’m a Bible and history junkies keep up the good work. 👍🏼
Good stuff, I've heard most of this but there was some new things like what it really meant for Pharaohs heart to be hardened with weight. God bless you both ☝️
Thank you algorithm for bringing me to a short of the frogs (interesting facts btw) and then I subscribed to this channel. Will be sharing with others too!
That’s a great question! The Pharaoh Moses confronted during the Exodus was likely not the same Pharaoh who raised him. When Moses was born, Pharaoh had ordered the killing of all Hebrew boys, but Moses was saved and raised in the Egyptian royal household. Exodus 2:23 tells us that "the king of Egypt died" during the time Moses was away in Midian, which means the Pharaoh who eventually faced the plagues was a different ruler. So, it’s likely that Moses' Egyptian "father" had passed away by the time God called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. While Moses may have had a connection to the royal family through his upbringing, the Pharaoh he confronted in the Exodus narrative was likely a successor. This shift in rulers also adds to the tension in the story, as the new Pharaoh would not have the same relationship with Moses as the one who raised him. Great question and God Bless!
@@underthehoodFL Thank you so much for such a great answer! Would it be likely, then, that Moses knew, (from this time in the palace), the current Pharaoh?
I mean a smoke and Ash Bloom from a volcano would definitely darken the Skies over a certain area but even then there's nothing that says that God didn't use nature to cause all these things the fact is it was caused by him one way or another
Slave culture back then wasn't the same as American slavery was. They were provided for all tere needs. The worst thing pharoah did to the Israelites was make them gather their own straw for mixing with mud to make bricks. They were treated poorly toward the time of tere departure. And one Egyptian beats a couple Israelites when Moses killed him for it and fled. They were skilled labor for the most part. Not like the imagery we think of these days. Men with ships whipping them as they worked. No they worked and were fed well and quartered in little houses and camps for the workers when they did jobs. Oh and parish had all the babies murdered that one time but he also made the Egyptian midwives murder the babies I'd say that was a horror show of a job too. His own people. Anyways my point is they were servants not necessarily slaves like we imagine them to be.
All Pagan nations suffered tbis! Think about Japan before WW2. China with their Emperor Dynasties and their hundreds of deities, The Norse, The Persians, Babylon, The Greeks, The Americas, The Indians in the Americas, The Hawaiians & Pacific Islanders, India, Indonesia, and so many other nations! They were plagued by the same deities as well! Even America has our pagan gods in modern years.

Was the Pharaoh that Moses deals with to let the people go, the same one that would have been his Egyptian father?

Yes, it's likely Moses knew Pharaoh. He grew up in the palace, meaning he would have been familiar with the royal family and its power.

Correct to remember that the Israelites were Jews 2,000 years ago and the ancestors of Jews of modern day Israelis.
If scripture says "fire", then it WAS "fire"!
NOT "probably lightning"!
I've watched three videos now and he's done this repeatedly!
I’ll have to look up the Hebrew word that’s used in that context….
