At a lost for words tbh. This is pure artistry at its finest. Her ability to adapt to her voice while still maintaining that true authenticity of SOUL is unparalleled.

Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes is an extremely old song. Some say the original tune is by John Wall Callcott from around 1790 followed by a number of other arrangements. But the words were from a poem by English playwright Ben Jonson entitled "To Celia". Aretha Franklin puts her own spin on it. She was so multitalented. A wonderful singer and a fine pianist. May she rest in peace.

A bit of Bach in the middle too. She has no rivals, the voice is announced, all other so called singers trail in her wake and eat the crumbs that fall from the Queens table.
