Creating realstic flag fabric waves in Adobe illustrator CC Tutorial

- In this tutorial we are going to make a wavy texture and applying to any layer or fabric, all you have to do is:
to create more or less the same shape, or the shape you want just by following the same steps shown in the video by using a mesh tool and wrap tool from toolbaar,
if you want to adjust the shape of wrap tool just double click on it on the toolbaal then you get another window open to adjust it.
after you made the shape just multiply it to the layer or fabric, to multiply it, go to the right side of the screen and transparency then click from normal change it to multiply.

I like your technique with the "Mesh" tool in illustrator and the blending, the only thing that I can nitpick is the color block don't follow the natural flow of the fabric, just a thought
You can try this also, After you finish from the colors ,then make your mesh fabric and then add the mesh fabric to it.

Why can’t I find the mesh tool in illustrator? I’m using 2022 illustrator and my tool bar is half the size of yours

i tried this with the germany flag but the effect wont appear on the black part of the flag D: do you have any idea to fix that
When you apply it to the flag, try to overlay or multiply it! If that doesn't work then try to make grey area a bit darker .
Nice! Can this be done with a pre-existing image?
If you first make it as its shown in tutorial and then apply it to an image ot should work.

It's a good start but the color bars don't conform to the wavy texture.
I know, but still you have the possiblity to manage it in different way to get other results.
Why does not colors wave? You should do the waves in photoshop:)
You can even make a wave from the as well, that time i didn't think of to make a wave in photoshop :) which is easier :)!!

Shouldn't the colors bend with the flag though?
It should be bend with flag, in this case the waves, but i didn't try that, perhaps in Photoshop can apply better!
