OPA Based Alice Microphones: Cardioid and Figure 8

Turn a $20 BM 800 microphone into a world class Cardioid or Figure 8 microphone. This video is part of an Instructable for building an "OPA-Alice" microphone. It uses a Texas Instruments OPA1642 dual operational amplifier for the impedance convertor and internal electronics for both a TSB2555B Cardioid capsule based microphone and a dual TSB165 capsule back to back microphone with a figure 8 response pattern.
