Wow i didn't know Boss Audio was around back in the 90's but am glad that they have remained consistent with over-rating their products even back then.
Boss audio been around since the late 80s. They have even had a few good amps made by zed audio. But even those they was really solid amps but boss still overrated them by alot.
@@Thumper68 I have been doing car audio since mid 90s and have never ever heard anyone claim or say that . Don't know where you got that from . In car audio rated is just that rated rms . And max or peak is just made up number with no meaning but to get those who don't know better to buy junk
@@paulgood2218 mid 90’s when I started getting into car audio too. I should say now days most reputable brands if they have a max rating their rms is half. But I agree the max rating thing was made by brands misrepresenting and trying to sell to those who don’t know.
peak power is not RMS power all companies put the peak power rating on the front of their amps. so if you have a two channel amp that says 1000 watts on it then the RMS power is going to be between 150 - 250 per channel depending how much you pay on a amp per watt. on lower budget amps you will pay 40 - 60 cents a watt on more expensive amps you will pay between a 1.10 - 1.80 a watt

Well it says 1000 max power and with 45 amps of fuse should be about right for 500 rms amp
It's kinda sad how they overrate. Their stuff is sufficient at what it really does. Just sell it as it is, I say. It's budget audio.
