Excellent Sir. I have just received one of these today. Would you kindly show the fitting of this into the EQ5. I recognise it is a straight screw thread situation but I am interested to understand the part it replaces. Was there a specific earlier polar scope for the Skywatcher EQ5. Mine is a recent second hand purchase dating originally from around 2009. Also would you expand on the revised graticule. I also have this version which appears more akin to the Southern hemisphere. Thank you. Superb videos by the way. Total clarity

I use the HEQ5. But admit I still use the older polar scope, as I don,t do long exp imaging, so alignment is not critical for me. But found this link, where someone explains much more than I could ever do. Read answer number 8 on the page. The link he gives can be translated to English if your device allows. Thanks for the thumbs up on the videos. www.cloudynights.com/topic/522565-skywatcher-eq6-polar-scope-and-polar-alignment/

Sorry not stocked these for a while. If you have a non SW mount, I believe they also fit the vixen version of the EQ3

The 2 tiny screws ,close to the 5 hr on your scope, were loose on mine. By inserting the scope into my mount, I accidentially turned those rings. Do you know how to properly aling the white indicator on the ring with the cross on the reticle? Does the wite indicator needs to be aligned with the 0 hr on the cross?

Hello. Can someone explain this polar scope reticule alignment procedure to me .. They say to to Calibrate the Polar finder by Aiming it at a Target at day time . And then Rotate the RA axis and notice if the target deviates from the Crosshair when RA axis is turned . And then if the target is off to move the Crosshair on the target using set screws on the polar finder .
This makes no sense . Why would you do that , it wont correct for anything , you are just masking the Error by moving you aim sight .
If we translate this to a Rifle Crosheir . When you aim at something and your target is not in Crosshair , you dont move the Crosshair , you move the Rifle Off course .
But when ppl Aim at Polaris , and Polaris is off in their Crosheir , they dont move the telescope the move the Crosshair .
This makes no sense . Can somone elaborate how moving a Crosshair makes it correct anything .

Do you know if this polar scope will work in an Orion Sirius EQ-G? From what i can tell, it's the same mount as the HEQ5. Thanks!

Honest answer, I do not know. However they do look the same mounts. Unsure when we shall have more in stock, as there are delays with production and high demand, making them hard to get hold of
